I think Akali needs a change or buff

Akali is one of my favorite champions because she can mid/top/jungle(kinda) and she has a lot of damage, sustain, and invis. But I feel like she only has 2 abilities past laning phase and here's why:

Everyone buys pink wards or just upgrades red trinkets so her w is useless(I guess she still gets the movement speed but in tfs the movement speed desnt help her that much).
Her e is just a waste of energy outside of waveclear. Sometimes the damage can help but most of the time its better to just q-r-aa-q-r-aa-w.

One of my biggest problems with akali is that you can see where her w is so her w is basically just saying, "Put a pink ward/red trinket here". I feel like if Riot gave her back the magic resist/armor on her w she wouldn't be as bad and would see more play. Another thing Riot could do is make her use mana so her e could actually be spammed lategame/midgame and it would also make some items more gold efficient on her like rod of ages or lich bane:). Or they could just reduce the energy cost on e so it could be added into her combo a little better. I'll probably get some hate for this post because people say akali is a "noob champ" or freelo. But thats only because in lower elos nobody buys pinks or red trinkets for her and people don't cc her so she just jumps on the adc really easily. People in mid/high elos usually say shes weak and was weak even before she got nerfed. What do you guys think?

don't buff someone with stealth, 3 dashes, a shit ton of sustain, and a shit ton of damage. she's fine now

You mean someone who, can be seen by pinks, lee sin q or e, can be denied a dash by janna tornado ult, thresh flay, hook, or can be denied by morgana q? or other displacing abilities? Sustain on a very squishy champ with a horrible lane phase? And damage that only matters in picks and not in team fights since she is cc'd easily? don't point out good qualities since the bad outshine a ton more

also she had a ~54% winrate in diamond before they removed her armor/MR on the shroud

Then again that was the assassin meta which then fell of into tanks, and hard cc which she does horrible again, and then they nerfed her R range and her E procing with q since it was oppresive during the assassin meta. Times are different she needs help.

So from 10-21 Assassins were not highly important? I remember seeing, Zed, Twitch, yas, Fizz, and Elise being very high tier picks. Considering their burst, mobility, and split push potential

Twitch isn't really an assasin.

Neither was Elise, she was picked entirely for her E.

Yasuo got nerfed pretty quickly and disappeared after that.

Just because champions are good does not mean it 100% defines the meta.

No, I never said because these specific champs are good they define the meta. Twitch was nerfed because he was a ADC assassin that was in the PATCH NOTES, Elise was an assassin type jg she had great mobility escapes and her overall damage let her invade and destory other jgs. Just because Yasuo got nerfed didn't mean he fell off completely he is still seen today and played. I haven't even mentioned Kassadin, or Ahri, or evelynn, or LeBlanc for that matter since well LB fell off once Syndra found her niche and countered her. Assassins were strong s4 and Mid lane assassins were top concerns in NA and Internationally in competitive play and in ranked games as well.

Actually id be fine with a rework, but what spicy memer is saying is right. She is really weak right now and should only be picked in certain match-ups/teamcomps. And shes had some pretty big nerfs since her armor/mr on w was removed like e doesnt proc q r range got nerfed. If it got changed back atleast her w would b useful in tfs because she wouldn't get bursted down instantly. I think a good way to give back her mr/armor would be to give 10/20/30/40/50 armor/mr depending on how many enemies (like wukongs passive) are there so the resists don't become too oppressive in 1v1s.

I find her fine. She's a pretty good assassin, where if you get behind, it's pretty hard to catch back up. I use her W in lane to help escape some things, also to start an engage on the enemy midlaner, throwing it in front of me to slow them down and allow me to speed up and gain surprise. Her E is quite powerful, and with Lichbane, you become a pretty strong tower pushing machine, as rank 5 E has a 1 sec cooldown

Tbh the slow is really weak and i only notice the ms boost when w hits level 2/3. And sure it can be helpful but more often than not her passive is better at keeping her alive once they start buying pinks. Also i pretty much said the same thing about her e and usefulness, ill agree its pretty good at taking towers though. Split pushing is probably the best way to use akalis kit right now imo outside of getting picks on the carries because it's hard to use her in tfs if the enemy plays it right and grabbed some cc.
