Need help facing multiple people in lane

So I first started league a little over a year ago but I never really got into it until the last couple of months and still consider myself to fall into the newish player category. That being said I've started to encounter problems in lane lately (only normal queue because I usually support in ranked). In top lane I've gotten to the point where I generally harass whoever my opponent is out lane and even get first blood sometimes. Almost every game I have goes like this early on and then the camping begins. I'm not talking about the jungler staying and harassing my lane, I'm talking about 3-4 people consistently staying in lane until my opposite on their team can handle me solo. This keeps happening ( and this is a team game so good on them for shutting down someone doing well early) and I don't know what to do because I never get assistance from the rest of my team despite repeated requests. They say things like "we'll put damage on our tower" or "I'll farm jungle and get ahead of their jungler" or "I'll get more farm then them" but it always ends up with their team getting 1 kill and the rest getting assist gold along with my tower. The rest of my team usually only gets a couple minions and not much in the way of tower damage. What the hell do I do? I'm not good enough to 2v1 unless really fed let alone 3v1 or even 4v1.

edit: not saying this always happens just started to have it happen to me more and more often lately.

Thats unfournate, what you can do to be ahead at the situation is to learn how to CS and not to get close to champions; as if 4 of them go to your lane; it is true your other lanes will compensate, but in the meantime, they are also losing CS/XP. Try to stay around the minions where you can get XP off of them and try to CS. I know your struggles as it seems the meta are shifting like they usually do around Preseason.

I'm quite frankly, baffled. I cant remember the last time that I saw 3-4 people just sitting in top or bot. If you're ahead, seeing mid+ jungler ganks is a common thing, but they almost never stay in the lane.

If your team is leaving you 1v4 under tower, your team is full of idiots. That said, however, there is something to be said for acknowledging that the tower which you are under is lost, and pushing for other objectives. Never, ever, should your team be ignoring you when there is still time to respond.
