So my "friend" here always complains about how broken illaoi and yorick is, while on the other hand I keep telling him that they're not. So I decided this to see what your guys opinions about they are. (don't let me down guys)
No champ is broken. Champs are only seen as broken because either
A. You dont know how to play against them B. Your team fed them for some reason C. It's their main, they played 1000s of games with that champ and know every mechanic with it
Illaoi is "broken" against people that don't get her kit. If her tentacles were guaranteed to hit, she'd probably be the best champ in the game, but in reality they're pretty easy to dodge. Keeping her tentacles in check, dodging her skillshots, and not being an idiot and standing in her ult make her fairly tame.
I don't think we have a good sense of whether or not Yorick is good yet. He seems strong, sure, but my guess is that champs with access to basic cleaves to counter his ghouls won't have much trouble with him.
Illaoi is strong, but a matchup vs her is one of game knowledge and not mechanics, an area many lack in.
Yorick (currently) is like leblanc, a bully who will push you out of lane 90% of the time but will lose most games because he isn't very good out of lane.
Illioa is easily kite able, it depends and what champions you play against her, if not rush boots fast for extra kite, when she hits an e, fight her or run out of the range. I see too many people just tank the free dmg instead of stopping her. Yorick, although he is rarely played is actually fairly annoying, he's easily gankable and such, but his ghouls have the weirdest hit boxes so if you don't have non-point and click abilities then you'll have a bit of trouble, other than that I would say an early game top laner would do well against Yorick.
