So ive been thinking... a lot of LoL players play with lock-In screens and sometimes (self-experience) the map and the rest of the HUD will block vision to certain parts of the screen. This lack of vision to the overall lock-in play-style affects it negatively. For instance if you're on purple team bot lane and the enemy support and Adc push in your lane, you have limited vision of their abilities and minions, making it harder to anticipate them and eventually go on a downhill slope in the laning phase of the game.
Not only bot lane purple team, the entire purple team has trouble cause of where the HUD is placed on screen, mid and top laners cant anticipate ganks coming from the lower bushes. (Of course you could say, "just ward!" but even still you'd have to look at the mini map to see them coming which should be unnecessary.
This is why i believe the transparency lever option should be implimented along with the new HUD, because it will aid the players who preferably play in the lock-in screen camera style.
