Gameplay Quests

what do y’all think about champions have specified mini in-game quests. for ex. a support class will be given a list of objectives that would make sense for a support champion. Like- most assists. (this can also help other play the right way) i feel xp should be earn, sometimes allowing an experience player to take over or be nulled.

Would be a similar issue for achievements in a competitive game: Makes people focus on achieving that goal to the exclusion of what ACTUALLY needs to be done (at times costing you the game.) Dragon's up and my team needs my help? But if I go take Southwest Blue buff, I'll get extra gold or experience.

Making it seamless would just mean either

  1. Additional rewards to what we have now would just mean whoever's doing their goals (which is generally whoever is winning) will just make them win harder.
  2. Tuning rewards so you'd get the same as normal if you do the quests, less if you don't would just be an unnecessary balance mess.

Generally, you make your own gameplay quests at this point anyways (IE making decisions based on what's going on) such as: Are you support and dragon has spawned? Better make sure it's warded. Seem to be having a hard time staying in lane? Should possibly buy Vampiric Sceptre/another Doran's Blade (For ADC) Top's struggling, you might want to go gank top. You're dominating mid? Might want to go to other lanes and snowball them as well. They have a lot of CC. Should maybe get Mercurial Shoes or Banshee's Veil Vayne is kicking everyone's butt: Might want to focus her in fights/Get something to reveal her in stealth. And so on.
