ITT: Riot, "Balance" is key
Hey Riot, just saying, really love your operating standards. I wish EA and other such companies could learn from your successes. Fixing a game? Nah, let's just make it so that the problems are ever worse, but instead ruin other things because why not.
Here's a moderately good example. I try to play Solo Q Draft Pick, because I am banned from Ranked because for the fifth time in a row, I got reported for cursing out feeders and troll Draven Junglers. Oh wait, I try to play a game, and get a Garen top. Yeah, OK, lemme just dodge, because there is no way that could ever work, considering he's up against a Vlad top, who counters him hard. Oh wait, now I have to wait 6 WHOLE MINUTES BEFORE I CAN PLAY ANY GAME MODE. ANY OF THEM. AND THAT GUY NOW GETS TO RUIN 3 MORE PEOPLE'S GAMES, WHILE I HAVE TO WAIT FOR 6 MINUTES SO I CAN TRY AGAIN, HOPING THAT 4 OUT OF 5 PEOPLE ON THIS TEAM AREN'T TROLLING OR RAGE HARD AND AUTOLOCK TOP BECAUSE MUH PICK ORDER.
As a side note to this, Riot SUUUUUUUURE is doing a good job maintaining a balanced game and a healthy gaming environment. Trolling in Ranked as Zac ADC? Nah, nothing wrong with that. Oh wait, you told that guy to "**** off" because he ruined your game and fed 0/18, costing your entire team the game, and you lost your Promos? CHAT BANNED. 40 GAMES. RANKED BANNED. 20 GAMES. Oh hey, Riot, ever thought of making Ranked Team Builder or something similar? No? OK, yeah, we needed another craptacular URF mode, that's sure gonna help us fix what's wrong with this game, especially since you don't even use URF mode to try and fix anything WRONG with the game. Hey, you ever gonna finally nerf Zed so other midlaners can play? No? OK, yeah, forgot we needed yet another Ahri skin. That's cool. Hey, remember how Vayne's AAs are ridiculous, and she tears through tanks with a BoRK and Last Whisper? Oh wait, yeah, forgot that Renekton nerf was waaaaaaay more important. Yeah, god forbid a Renekton should ever want to play top, sorry Rito. Also god forbid I want to play Tank ANYTHING, because I can expect everyone and their mother to have BoRK, Last Whisper, HP Shred, True Damage, 5 second Stuns/Knockups/Snares/Etc....
And then we get to these so-called "Champion Updates", also known as "We wanted people to stop playing this Champion and only play this one, so we shadownerfed this one to the ground and called it an "Update" so you don't get pissed and flood us with hatemail". Notice a recurring pattern every single time a Champion gets "updated"? Yeah, I did too. Their popularity jumps up a bit for a whole week, then you never see them again.... Ever. Necause everyone understands that Champion sucks now, and goes back to playing people Riot hasn't ruined yet... Like say.... Hmmm..... Tough one.... Maybe Le Epic Shadow Memer Edge Man Assassin? Yeah, hey, Riot, got a question for you? How can I win against a Zed? He has a million poke, and I can't even farm or he shreds me. "YOU GOTTA LEARN TO PLAY AROUND HIS SHADOWS MANG, THAT'S HOW YOU COUNTERPLAY HIM BRUH." Yeah, OK, thanks for the no help whatsoever. Oh, by the way, he also just towerdove me and got away, considering I couldn't even fight, you know, because of the whole SHURIKEN SHURIKEN SHADOW SHADOW I HAVE NO MANA I CAN FARM FOREVERRRR. Hey, also, how about Zyra? She pokes for a quadrillion damage with her plants, once again, can't farm because FREE TURRETS FOREVER. Oh, what's that? I have to counterplay her by killing her turrets, so she can't poke me to death? Oh, yeah. That sure helped, thanks. Especially when after I killed on of the two plants, she snared me, made 3 more plants, and knockuped me for another free kill.
TL;DR Riot, get your shit together, you've been slowly ruining your game more and more each update. Actually TRY to balance stuff out for once. You can start, for instance, by actually making Tank items ACTUALLY HELP YOU NOT DIE BECAUSE THE HYPERCARRY INSTASHREDS 45% OF MY ARMOR THANKS TO BLADE OF THE BALANCED KING AND LAST WHISPERS.
