How do you stop him exactly?
These are pretty cheap items and there isn't exactly counterplay to literally being clicked on. Not to mention he has 3 open item slots dedicated to counter your attempts at counter.

He's squishy, just kill him? So you want to dps race this monster? sure go ahead.
Yi needs 2 adjustments to be fine: Q no longer crits (but has better AD scaling) Q no longer gets reduced cooldown from auto attacking (but has lower cooldown)
Maybe don't 1v1 a fed late game carry after he is already fed?
Maybe you need to dumpster him BEFORE he gets all the items and then he is irrelevant?
But NOOOOO you guys always want a champion to be out playable mechanically even if they are in their perfect scenario. Well guess what, that would make them underpowered as FUCK. And yi still loses fight to a ton of champions even in his late game form.

Ah yes, that right there is some salt.
Any early game jungler, ANY early game jungler can fight yi and kick his teeth in. There are plenty of ways to deal with a yi, so long as you don't all pour your cc on him all at the same time and let him Q half of your collective kits.
There's a reason why people don't struggle against this champ in anything higher than plat.

5v1 him and hope his team isn't there to help kill you all.
I mean, I don't ever really have a problem against him. The best is when he Q's you and you flash under turret, as he will end his Q wherever his target is, then you cc him while he is under your turret, bonus points if you have ignite. Meditate doesn't reduce turret damage.
While is an item, it has a 90 second cooldown. You can make him blow it and then disengage until your cc is back up assuming you are playing with your team.
Usually when I am against one we blow him up in the first teamfight or two and he tries to splitpush the rest of the game so we get free objectives.
He is pretty nasty if he gets fed and your team doesn't peel for the backline though.
