The Cancer That is LCS: Is LCS Killing League?
Note: This is my opinion. If you don't like it, that's okay with me.
~
As a preface, I've been playing since Season 1. I've gone on the roller coaster that is League of Legends; the champions, the balance, the people, all of it. Since then, people have gotten more toxic and Riot has gotten much worse with balance in my opinion. The following is what I believe the issue is and how it can be fixed.
~
I feel like LCS is killing League of Legends. What was once a fun game that Riot cared about while also caring about the opinions and views of it's consumer base has devolved in to Riot only balancing things based on the LCS. However, Riot's not the only one at fault here. The players have become sheep to the LCS as well. Go in to Ranked and see how many people are picking and banning based on the last LCS game they watched. League of Legends has literally become a cancerous wart on the LCS' backside. If something isn't done, I feel like the game will go downhill, eventually everything will be a skillshot because those are flashier and make for "LC$ Big Plays," every champion is going to have 5+ abilities or forms, and everyone in the community will enforce a strict meta. I've seen people banned for not following the meta that only exists because some LCS players do things the same way every time.
Please guys, fix this game before we lose it. I love this game, I WANT to be able to enjoy it, but for that to happen it needs to be about the average player, not about the 1% that Riot balances it around.
