Thresh and Relic Shield

I don't know if this was intended, but it is really hard to use the Relic shield item 3302 passive with Thresh Thresh . It could be because he is ranged or something to do with the passive on Flay. A good quality of life change would be to increase clarity on when you can execute something or to help him in particular out with the execute range. Is anyone else noticing this?

Yes it IS because he is ranged. The execution passive is Melee.

You have to CS somewhat normally. Taking E (Flay) first helps with this due to it ramping up the damage (its not OMG! crazy but it helps) of his next auto attack if he waits a bit.

Honestly frustrating item on thresh. It reminds me of the champs who are junglers but can't efficiently use the jungle items.

We already have all the clarity we need. The relic shield expressly states that the execution effect is melee only, and it should be clear to anyone who's tossed a single basic attack as Thresh that he is ranged.

Relic Shield explicitly states that it only executes minions on MELEE autoattacks (in the first sentence of its description).

Thresh is a ranged champion.

How is this, in any ways, confusing? It is very explicit.

Lol , this is intended. Since thresh is ranged you have to get the killing blow for the relic shield to proc on your adc. Riot made it like this because he is ranged meaning he can get it from far away so their going to make getting it to proc harder. For melee champs it only takes only a few aa's and boom, because in the process of getting it to proc your also likely to take damage from poke since you are going up to the minion and are closer to the enemy. All in all this is intended, and I am a support main and thresh is part of the very few supports I play and it's not that hard. If you know how to cs properly getting your relic to proc is easy .
