Again, why flash still exists?

I know that is not a popular idea, but I'm so mad people can't see how flash is so bad.

First, it always benefits more the strongest champion (Btw that's what you riot did with the stopwatch runes, like really?). Second, it decides when you win or not a fight (Imagine, one spell who decides that, and nobody cares). And to prove that I'm right, you can see that most the plays in the compilation videos includes a flash from the player.

That doesn't make any sense to let flash in that state, but everyone disagree with that, I don't understand.

I was thinking about either delete it, but then I thought of adding a "casting time" on it, like hextech flash but you move while casting it (A sort of lag, that the opponent see that you are about to flash). And if any of that seems crazy to you, then just add the information about the flash cooldown in the tab interface when it was visible.

Because the entire game is balanced around Flash's existence. Changing or reworking Flash would be akin to reworking all 148 champions at once.

Flash gives the game skill expression. And it makes immobile champions actually able to play the game.

You could not possibly play this game without flash or ghost as a squishy champion, especially as it exists now.

Until they stop with the giving champions 3 dashes flash stays. The mobility already makes playing an immobile champion difficult and without flash they would just kill you whenever they please.

Flash could never realistically be removed without effectively redeveloping half of the game. I personally agree with you, Flash should not exist - but it does, and it has for long enough that it isn't realistic to remove it.

Let's look at a single lane and a single specific match-up type in that lane - mid lane, Mage vs. Assassin. Most Mages have limited escape tools, many have none apart from Flash. The removal of Flash removes any safety net these characters have against an Assassin and would, in all likelihood, guarantee that Mages see practically no play.

This kind of interaction is all throughout LoL. It would be nearly impossible to remove Flash as the entire meta of the game is balanced around its existence.

If every champion had somewhat mobility then sure get rid of flash. Some of my favourite champion have no mobility whatsoever, flash is their only way to either gap close or escape. Running away from champions that have dashes or blinks as immobile champion is almost impossible without flash. And the spell has one of the biggest cooldowns, It's not like you gonna spam It like a regular ability.

I kinda agree, but if you delete flash then you have to remove champs that have 3000 dashes because you wouldn't be able to catch or escape them.

LoL has been about burst and quick action since they started adding champs like retarzed, they aren't going to change the game after all the effort they put in making it horrible.

Removing flash is a dream I have longed for many a year.

For the second time. Without flash, ganks would mean certain kill unless you have mobility. Immobile champs would become troll picks.

THE ONLY way removing flash works, if they are going to adjust all the champs in the game. Immobile champs getting lots of buff to compensate for their inability to escape (there is a high chance every one of them would become a kled), and mobile champs losing shit in exchange for having mobility. Maybe good maybe bad, who knows. The point is that riot has to put A LOT of effort to happen. Something that riot has shown over and over again that they dont want to do.

The issue isn’t that flash exists at all.

The issue is that mobility has been increased and increased and increased(but only really for ranged champions) so that melee champs, the vast majority of which don’t have a dash, need it to get into range of the other team.

Oh hey, I remember this debate! . . . From Season 3. . .

If someone wants to search the old forums that far back, they can verify this for me; there was a red post on it at some point. Long story short: When league started, they didn't realize how dominant flash would be. What started out as balancing edge cases eventually resulted in balancing the entire game around the possibility of flash being used. Which resulted in everybody taking flash, because the game was balanced around having it. Removing it (or making it competitive with other spells) would require a wide swath of game re-balancing (We're potentially talking pre-season levels of adjustment, just for 1 spell).

For all the frustration generated by the Nerf Master Suck Town era of league balance, this was actually one of Morello's few significant blunders.

Better idea, allow the use of 3 summoner spells. Instant game diversity boost.

Simple problem with removing it, you have to rework dozens upon dozens of champions to compensate for it's lack of existence.

Something was said by a few you tubers and streamers regarding montage vids, that Flash isn't needed in like 90% of the used cases, but those players use to make the play much more fun to watch. Basically, they waste Flash to put on a show for the crowd.

One such example was Professor Akali when he reviewd a montage vid of the best Chinese Akali player, that guy was using Flash a lot, and PA even stated in some situations it wasn't needed at all and said how to make the play without it, but admitted it would be much more boring to watch as well.

So yea...

Why did you say that name, Martha

If it's about keeping things exciting to watch, get rid of super slow regular league and make URF the normal mode. Regular league is like watching paint dry.
