she needs a team comp surrounding her not saying you can't win without one but if your first pick they ALL try to counter pick her lol which i find funny honestly , league of counter picks

most juggernauts do. this is the pain of playing a champion everyone mistakes for a tank.

they dont understand that juggs are carries and need support to get into position just like a marksman. ocationally people think "oh good, he picked [insert jugg here], we have a tank" and build the rest of the team squishy carry junglers, mid laners and supports. without realizing, you cant fucking engage fights on your own. you end up kindof doing your thing and just split pushing.

only higher up people start thinking about teamcomps and will actively pick champions that synergize well with you.

honestly only when i play with people i know does it go well, cause honestly I tell them what too pick lol makes life easy but with randoms ugh they dont bring cc 90% of the time

My problem with Illaoi is when I land a 5 man ult and my team flashes/runs away from all my tentancles then "Illaoi why didnt you help me? Why didnt you chase when I flashed and then used my dash skill to get s far away from your tentacles as possible?" .... Happens all the time.

I just had a whole team counter pick me and I was first pick and this has happened a few times now I honestly don't think she is that hard too deal with but people seem to hate her

im usually first pick when i choose her. Riven, Darius, Yasuo, Irelia, Jax, Karma, Lux, Zed, Talon, Malphite, Gnar. I'll confidently go first pick because i've gotten it to where i dont have to worry about counterpicks or "iffy" matchups very often

It irks me when I play Illaoi, such as fist picking.

Then my team decides to pick a weak early game jungler that could potentially get invaded and countered hard early while our mid laner picks something that also can't wave clear and gets pushed into 24/7 to tower and wonders why no one is helping when I draw attention of 3 to 4 players from the other team and they are still trying to catch up and can't do anything.

That or the team I'm on decides to go for a comp that wants to chase or has no teamfight ability or CC and really Illaoi doesn't excel at those team compositions.

But none the less, on to the next game I say when that happens.

its so true I win lane most of the time and since im illaoi im okay with ganking me but while there ganking my team cant even take a damn turret its so annoying if I've learned anything about ranking up, is that you can't rely on most people

I use to play any champ i had to in order to rank up, and I started watching my gameplay and realized I was doing all the work i would literally take like 5 to 6 turrets ever game cause my team couldn't do it, the moment I started playing what I enjoy

I am almost mastery level 4 with Illaoi.

Not once have I ever seen an entire team comp try to counter-pick me. Maybe one, perhaps two, but never an entire team.

Never be afraid to buy a Elixer of Wrath item 2140 mid game. While it doesnt give the full 75AD (it only gives 30AD) as death's dance item 3812 , it does heal you for 15% damage per tentacle, compared to 5% damage. That is, if you play her top lane and rush Black Cleaver item 3071 first.
