poppy should have lifesteal with q if we play her ad and spellvamp if we play her ap shes already weak early game right now the lifesteal from ad doesnt work even if the skill scale with ad not only ap the higher one should takeover or something

Her Q is precisely as much of a 'spell' as, say Blitzcrank's Power Fist (E), or Darius' Crippling Strike (W). Which is to say that, yes, it is technically a 'spell'. It is a very short-durationed self-buff 'spell' that empowers a single subsequent AA.

Mathbalnase2 votesMy point is that 'her q is a spell' is highly misleading and utterly irrelevant to the question of whether it does (or should) apply spellvamp (or lifesteal). Her Q is a spell that empowers a subsequent AA. Most spells that empower a subsequent AA still allow that AA to apply lifesteal. Many also allow lifesteal to be applied to the bonus damage they provide to that AA.
Poppy's Q is a particularly special case that is not intuitive, not clear from its description, and has significant ramifications. It helps no one to spread misinformation on how it actually functions or why.

Her Q is a spell. It does apply spellvamp. Being a spell does not necessarily indicate that Spellvamp will be applied. The preponderance of similar 'spells' that apply Lifesteal and not Spellvamp is ample evidence of that. In fact, the behaviour of Poppy's Q is particularly unusual in this regard (and several others) among its close peers ('on-next AA' self-buffs). The supposed causative link is misinformation.
How other similar abilities function is fully relevant to a discussion of how Poppy's Q should work as well as how less knowledgeable players can be expected to expect it to work.

Ok so everything I said was accurate? Great. I didn't add anymore then that. You then stated that I spread misinformation. Where is the misinformation? Oh wait you admitted it is a spell and benefits from spellvamp.
SO where is the problem.
I didn't get into the other champions abilities because it has nothing to do with Poppy. If the original post was about empowered autoattacks should all apply lifesteal then it would be germane to the discussion. However since the Original Post was only about Poppy I kept it relating to the subject matter. Going off on tangents is fine and dandy but accusing me of misinformation because I chose to stay on topic is pretty close to slander.
