Why? You don't need waveclear to be a support. And he was designed as a support. Not a jungler. Not a midlaner. Not a toplaner or ADC. A support.

The fairly small number of times you'll have to clear wave while your ADC is away is small, and plenty of other champions manage just fine. You don't see Yuumi mains complaining about no waveclear. Leona mains do just fine with basically no waveclear (sure she has W but that's honestly pretty terrible for waveclear due to the long delay on its damage and you really can't use E for waveclear). Morg as a support has no real waveclear, Soraka is pretty low on it until late-game (and even then she only does about 60% of a caster's health with a Q), Braum is just fine without it, Blitz only has it as an ult (And, hey! Pyke's R can be waveclear too!)...

So, tell me, why does Pyke, a SUPPORT, need waveclear when no other supports do?

He doesn't need that if you actually play the role he is designed for.

Yeah.... Riot so dumb with what they call balance. They are toxic when it comes to balancing. The irony.
