So, about Mordekaiser.. (a huehue thread)

What's the plan with him? Sure, the W buff was very nice but I feel as if he's right on the edge of viability. I see Veigar's fanbase is very passionate about their champion so I wanted to tell you guys (Riot) there are those of us that love the Master of Metal as well. I really enjoy his design and all but something feels.. amiss. The Master of Metal is just this big hulking suit that throws metal around. OK, when you examine it at face value, it makes sense. But when I look at Morde I imagine this rocking spectre that would use things like CONCUSSIVE BLOWS to destroy his enemies. Here are some proposed changes.

Passive: Iron Man This is Morde. It gives him a passive shield for the damage he inflicts. More pain, more gain. But.. that's about it. You guys said you wanted to make Morde more of a tanky bruiser. Well..

Proposed change: Give his passive MR/AR. Divide the bar into 3 sections, and have them scale from there. 1/3 is 6R, 2/3 is 10R, full bar is 16R. (early game passive stats, have them ramp up from there). It would definitely help him with his now squishy earlygame status

Q: Mace of Spades So, this is an ability with buffs his auto attack but that's basically it. It's almost the exact same thing as his E, I feel. He has two spammable AoE attacks in his kit (though this one has an added effect on isolated targets.) I feel like it could be so much more. This ability should be like Morde's primary dueling tool.

Proposed change: Make his isolated Q apply a stun. This would fit him thematically (being bonked in the head by a giant mace would apply some head trauma) and wouldn't really break him. It just.. makes sense. Make his AoE Q apply a slow debuff. Again, being hit by a smaller flying mace would cause some head trauma. Increase the CD. His Q should not be spammable, that should lie within his E. His primary harass tool. Increase the damage slightly.

W: Creeping Death It's fine. GJ Riot. I feel like this was a step in the right direction. However, you.. lowered the damage. I don't know why, but OK.

Proposed change: Lower the cooldown. It doesn't really have the kind of impact it did, but it's pretty healty atm. However, the CD seems a bit high.

E: Siphon of Destruction This is an ability that has proven to be hard to balance, and understandably so. It's basically a resourceless harassing csing all in one package. But it feels like that's where Morde's identity lies as a whole. Be wary of standing near minions, or you will be hurt. However, the harass is a bit much at earlier levels. So lower the early game damage a bit BUT make the endgame version of it do the same damage as before. That's about all I think it needs to be healthy.

Proposed change: Lower early game damage, same late game power.

R: Children of the Grave So, what we have here is a point and click DoT that can be countered by simply walking away from it. Or dashing. And we all know the mobilty creep is real..

Proposed Change: Make Children of the Grave steal movement speed for the first few seconds of it's activation. Basically, give it a BotRK active. It's already very BotRK as is, and it would definitely help out slow lumbering friend actually chase and duel people. Specifically those pesky kiting champs. Kalista

Rather than having to rely on some sort of harass then execute type gameplay, he should actually be more of a duelist. He's primarily a fighter, and with these changes he could actually play like one. I also feel like these changes would open up new possibilities for Mordekaiser and give him new life in other roles. JG Mordekaiser? SupportKaiser? Maybe.

I feel like you guys are very close to achieving a healthy Morde, but as he stands now he just feels a bit underwhelming. I think that these things would have him achieve some healthy bruiser gameplay, and it would definitely make him unique while supporting more varied item builds. Tankier Morde, our favorite AP Morde, MS Morde, etc. etc. Add any of your own personal thoughts below. Or just tell me I'm an idiot. That's fine, too Mordekaiser
