I'm soon going to be hitting ranked, so I wanted to increase my champion pool. I like to play late game hypercarries, who, while worthless early, stomp people late, cause I like their style.

Nasus' strongest point is typically the mid-game, not the late-game.
He works best during skirmishes and duels rather than proper teamfights (since he is susceptible to being kited).
He can't efficiently itemize percentage penetration, so his damage falls off when opponents start purchasing armor.
He's more useful before the enemy ADCs purchase QSS due to his Wither.
He's still a great pick-up, but you should know your power-spikes.

A "hyper carry" is a champion that benefits more from each kill and CS relative to other champions. This makes it so the chances of winning goes up exponentially if they achieve high cs or kill counts. In other words, it does not simply mean they get fed and carry, it means the champion's ability to carry goes up at an exponentially rate in comparison to most other champions. Hyper carries need coordinated team effort to shut down. Notably, a lot of the pros don't play hyper-carries and play early to mid game champs.
Mathematically, I would describe it as similar to (Hyper Carry)^kill+CS = Likelihood of Winning vs (Non-hyper Carry)x(Kill+CS) = Likelihood of Winning.
