Ever since the new Fiora rework came live I was testing some new builds for her. I learned that she gets pretty mana hungry since you can spam q because of the reduced cooldown it gets. Also she relies on AA's after her spells are down so is essence reaver viable on her? The damage and lifesteal is great but I'm mainly saying this because of the passive. I'm not good with all the cost efficiency and stuff so what are your thoughts?
Don't ever get Essence Reaver for mana. Its mana regen really may as well not exist.
My brother tested that out. He never dropped below 50% mana the whole game. The q gets to the point where it (since it applies on-hit effects), actually costs no mana to use so long as you hit it on something.

viable but not necessary imo. her mana costs arent that high.
id rather like to know if dead mans plate would be a good defensive item. i can see it work very well with a build like this.
basically dead mans plate helps chasing and getting in range, and cleaver helps sticking once youre there. overall this is a pretty good amount of raw damage +cdr and defense.
you got the bloodthirster shield, you got mr and a magic shield from maw, you got health from cleaver and dead mans plate, and some extra armor.
but still a lot of ad to get that passive up and cdr to get the cooldowns low.
dead mans plate also adds damage and the initial sow, so i can see this being a pretty good item.
Also do you think frozen mallet would be viable because her new q will apply the slow. Also makes her more tanky
Essence reaver is just an incredibly bad item. So expensive for really useless passive.
Essence reaver does work on her, rather well to be honest, it's just so specific an item. I only ever see it being useful if you're in a situation where you need access to split-push very quickly, (Probably doesn't exist as hydra makes her incredibly good at this already) Need the CDR desperately (constantly having to duel 
) and are going OOM (Shouldn't be happening unless you're spam happy)
Fiora's viable items Imo consist of..
And probably a few other defensive options, all team dependent.
A side note to add on builds. Most of these items piece together from similarly effective much cheaper pieces. Having those little pieces is often far more effective than rushing 1 completed item and having to hide in the jungle to farm 1250 for a 
All are powerful enough to rival their top teir items, without having to invest a large amount of gold, delaying other valuable stats.
The last mention is the massive amounts of bonus AD you see people end the game with doesn't affect her passive anywhere near as much early as it does late. 2.7+0.1(per level)*BonusAD/100 (2x@100 ad 3x@200ad) Means if you somehow start lane phase with 100 bonus ad your passive will do 5.6% hp in damage, that bonus ad at level 18 is 9%. There's no reason to rush high end damage items and dieing in team fights until you can get defensive ones.
