What Is Happening To This Game...

I remember the good old days in season four where top lane jax could carry... or a mid lane zed or Twisted Fate could carry. Where Evelynn could Carry or a good lucian! Nowadays... even with the Juggernaut patch. If top lane or ADC doesn't... you just have to surrender. HONESTLY RIOT. Do you know how many freaking posts I see that say

"RIOT CAN YOU LET US SURRENDER AT 15?"

COME ON MAN. Listen to the community for once. and NO, Cloud 9, CLG, and TSM are NOT your community. They just play the game and get paid for it. When your players ask for you to shorten the time that they can QUIT and LEAVE your game... maybe you should start paying attention to what we are saying.

To be honest, I don't think I have ever actually considered quitting league of legends until this point. This game has just become kind of a joke and a headache. I started playing about 2 years ago at the end of Season 3 and I've worked my way out of elo hell to gold and I constantly play with Platinums and Diamonds and I've beating master tier laners before... but all of that strive and effort and hardwork. It's just gone. About 6 months ago I kind of just dropped league because of my girlfriend and because of how rage-inducing and toxic the community is in this game. After reading about the rework to the report system and everything I had gotten my hopes up and blam! I saw CLG win NA finals... and I was hyped... So I started playing again.

That's when it started. I began climbing to Gold and then the juggernaut meta hit. Wow. I thought I would never be out of that hell. You guys added crazy tank items and "buff/balanced" champions where this game just lost its fun to me. Garen? If he was locked... you lost. Sion? same. Tahm? Seriously? some one who can eat anyone, give them a free zhonyas with a 6 - 10 second cooldown. Okay Okay... I got through it... you guys added kindred, a tank slayer and Vayne came back (I'm a vayne main so i approve...) but even then, games came down to CAN TOP SURVIVE 20 MINUTES WITHOUT DYING? That is not healthy. Pretty much every game relied on your top laners experience and their map awareness with teleport since 4-5 man ganks became a common practice. To be honest? As unbalanced and ridiculous as THAT tank meta was... it was still decently fun. Many #LCSpBigPlays came out and mages were still pretty essential!

So where did this all go to crap? The easiest counter to a fat, tank meta is a smooth ADC meta... because people like Kindred (wont even start with her...) just melt tanks... you guys figured HEY LETS add all the ADC buffs and reworks and items... yay! and god knows you have all seen the rest of these forum posts about the game just breaking and dying with the new adc patch. Honestly, Riot. Just step it back man. If you wanted to change the meta or BALANCE IT away from tanks, do one of the following: a) rework ADCS b) Add new Last Whisper tank-slayer items (adc item rework) c) rework masteries

but ALL three? Come on now. That's just too much. I'm not complaining or being "salty" because i'm bad and can't adjust. No I adjusted just fine. I was an adc Main but honestly? It just lost its touch. The fun isn't there. Every game comes down to either I stomp and DESTROY bot lane, or you surrender at 15 minutes and go make pop tarts and watch cat videos on youtube; or the even better alternative? Counter Strike: Global Offensive. You guys just are not listening to what the community is telling you. Adc Top. Adc mid. Adc jungle (god i hate kindred). Adc Adc. and Adc support. <--- ALL OF THAT IS VIABLE. That is simply too much. The mastery changes? I agree with every other skill tree besides the primary tree. A critical strike based 15% heal. That just made me laugh. Bloodthirster or any other Lifesteal item is irrelevant.

The ADC (Marksman) roles is arguably the most mechanically and positionally charged role in the entire game. It has always been, next to the chess-minded junglers; and honestly? All you have to do now is buy 5 critical strike items and you just won the game. There is no "i might go shiv first into botrk, or i might need a QSS or a mercurial... OR i might need to go BT against a draven." No. Its literally how fast can you hit IE, youmuus, and one of the shivs. Bot lane is so dead It is disgusting. As a gold ADC that lanes constantly against diamonds and platinums... bot lane is all about mind games, positioning, and skill levels. Now? I queue up with my best friend whos in bronze and those ADCs can destroy me... NOT because i'm mechanically insufficient but because the ADC role is now ACTUALLY just a point-and-click game. I've legitimately played jinx in this meta, right clicked, and started eating food while she killed 4 people with the auto-attack function. I just stood there... This isn't a game, it is just becoming minesweeper, "I hope to god that tile isn't a full ADC-comp... explodes Welp, I guess it is time to start opening up the Steam Client.

League of legends is turning into HoTS and Runescape. Mindless Right clicking.

I tried to play viktor mid? they went varus and he half healths you with an arrow. I go Twisted Fate? They go quinn mid. I go renekton top? they go Vayne top. I go udyr jungle? They go kindred.

If you happen to go anyone else but an adc in lane? Surrender at 20. This is now designed to only benefit professional or diamond tier players. I look at the ranked matches from the high elo players and you see the whole AP mid with tp, and tank top laners... but in every other elo? even casual ones, all you see is ADC spam. This isn't even competetive. Games do not even go past 30 minutes. There is no late game. It has just disappeared. Assassins? pfft. They stomp hard, or lose to an ADC. That's it. Teamwork? Its basically become "how long can your adc survive?"

And lets talk support for a moment here. I started my league carrier playing Support and Damn did I climb with that as probably the only silver True Support Main with thresh, leona, janna, karma.... Now? I don't even consider playing support anymore. Janna shields are buffed by the keystone... and adc's have the mastery to increase all shields/lifesteal... permanently? seriously? Thresh is useless now. alistar is a joke. Braum is a joke. Leona? that was last season... ALL of bot lane has DIED. If you do NOT play a shield champion you essentially lose to their soraka. Because god knows every team has janna or soraka now. It just feels wrong. Seeing a shield do 1k+ in health... that is not okay. It removes the whole "strategy oriented idea" from the game.

You cannot even "farm til late game". If I lost laning phase to an enemy ADC who's simply better in lane, the MAIN counterplay is to either Work with your team and catch up (out-rotating their team) OR you just freeze and farm until you can catch up and bring in some #LCSBigPlays... NOW? That is not viable. Not only is the whole reworked vision system horrible because freezing and farming without a turret is just impossible, and even if you do CS and get those items... you probably wont be able to farm past 20 minutes because the enemy will be at your nexus. WHY? because of the:

New Turret system.. WHAT DID YOU FEED THOSE TURRETS? AIR?? I've never seen such squishy turrets. Jinx was probably the ONLY adc who could eat a turret for lunch. But now? any mid lane mage or tank can eat a turret. What happened? pushing and ending is just ritual now after 10 minutes. I feel as if there is just no Counterplay to this meta and there is no Item or LATE GAME opportunity to make a come back. The Top Lane dominance is gone. Even when you win lane 8 - 0 - 10 you will eventually get 3 hit by an adc with one of the many Tank Slaying items... IF you get fed in the jungle (in which the jungle creeps rocky balboa you and leave you with no health) cannot out kite or outsustain an ADC with more critical strike chance than what seems like 100%. and God knows if you go an AP mid laner you better pray Ignite lasts 100 seconds because the adc will heal any and ALL burst damage in 2 crits.

Your alternative to the community? Stay on this path, ignore us, and lose all of the hardwork you've put into making this game what it is today. The only reason I did not quit league of legends like every other video game, is because it WAS dynamic. It BROUGHT a whole new generation of strategy based games and it revitalized where DOTA just died and got put into a cupboard... You are going to lose a lot of players, your loyal community, and your "Toxicity" It is going to reach all time lows. Do you know why? Because everyone's just going to leave.

League of legends is becoming a Static game with every release and sure its "a work in progress" but the juggernaut meta? you did not fix that until AFTER worlds. And this worlds? It was boring to watch with that meta. I can't imagine it with league at its current state. You guys need to either listen to the community and USE OUR FEEDBACK, Prove that this game is what it used to be, or step up your damn game. In fact, I quit playing after today until you fix this... Counter Strike at least Tries to listen and it is dynamic enough where every game is different. You have lost a loyal, honest, and faithful supporter of this game. Step it up Riot.
