An Argument for Showing Total Gold Score

Hell, since the changes to the lane minion gold, I'd even be for individual gold totals. (with a mouse-over option to see CS)

the video does make a good point.. but the bigger issue is what players will do with this information

for example, why cant we see the skill level (ranked border) of our opponents?

it was because of riot was afraid rank shaming (which i think its a stupid reason bean every season ranked players looks it up during loading screen anyways)

as for total gold score... yes this is useful information. team gold doesn't mean much if u cant use that data correctly

it depends what champions the gold is on, it depends on the matchup.. and it depends on how far u are in the game.. these are all variables that make a HUGE difference

and yeah I'm not saying the info cant be useful, but it actually ISN'T useful unless you KNOW how to account of the other variable i listed.. and it is much easier to actually know if your winning or losing than it is to be able to correctly account for all of those variables.

your team may be down 1k gold... in a 20 min but if you haven't taken a single tower yet and they have taken 5... then u can EASILY make that map gold up. and u are actually winning... because it means u stayed almost dead even on gold and still have a much of objectives gold u can take, where as anyone without that knowledge would say you are "losing" because u have lower gold. and have lost more towers.

you need to be able to use that data properly.. and because of that.. i feel this would do more harm than good.

the people who NEED the information about if we are "winning or losing" and whether or not is a good idea to surrender, are HIGHLY unlikely to be abuse to use that data accurately, unless your in the extremely stupid circumstance where u are 15k gold behind at 20 min... by which it should be pretty obvious by a score such as 4/35 and you having two open inhibs that you're losing..****
