Lagging, Random Ping Spike

So a few days ago my ping has started to randomly just jump to like 200 ms atleast. It hasn't done this in a loooong time and my usual ping is in the 60s. It started when my friend decided to download League again and I was in a match while he did so. My ping went to like 2000 at one point and would go to 500 at times. I did an update on my laptop so now its not that bad but its a real annoyance. Are the servers kinda whack or did my friend downloading League affect my game. Sincerely, A confused human being.

Honestly I think its Zoe lol my ms was like in the 80's then went to 2,000 ms when I played her.

This happens to me every 5 games or so and when I exit the client I instantly get my normal ms but when i start to play and get back to lane it jumps to 2k ping and 11k ping and 13k ping at the highest... im so confused
