@Riot Supports - Food for thought.

So for any of you who have ever played ADC you know that often times people who get support often times don't want to support. You know the kind... the ones who take your CS, leave the lane for copious amounts of time or just simply feed cause they didn't get their desired role. Well recently I had one such game. Annie decided she didn't want to support and ended up building Morellonomicon as her "Support" item. then proceeded to farm bot lane and become a second AP carry. She was out of lane so often when i finally dinged level 9 she was still 5... and she never went AFK. But when she was in lane she just messed up my CS to the point where I had the least amount of minion kills in the entire game besides her and the enemy support.

No matter what, this isn't cool guys and obviously no amount of reporting or talking to these terrible supports is going to fix it. So what I'm genuinely wondering is how we as the ADC can work around this. how do you deal with a support who takes all your CS putting you heavily behind? Or one that feeds the enemy Miss Fortune making her an unstoppable killing machine? How do you climb when this happens 2/3 games you play?

Do you just play a different lane? supporting isn't an option because Riot has made it so damn hard to climb as a support and even as a support you get those shitty ADCs and since you are playing support properly and supporting your ADC, you don't have enough damage to actually effectively fight for yourself. Whats the Solution? And I want to know Riot what are your thoughts on this?

Technically, you are Bronze V. Totally assume everyone doesn't know what they are doing. It is entirely possible that Annie does not know Support Items or how to support. You're already pretty dismissive saying "no amount of talking is going to fix it". Sounds like you haven't even tried. At least, that is my assumption from your post.

For instance, an ADC that doesn't seem to know that Roaming is a support job. It's not uncommon for a support to roam. It's definitely not uncommon for a support to be under leveled. If you watch Pro Play, you'll notice that supports are usually a few levels behind. It is a balance though. You shouldn't really roam if they have a lot of kill pressure on a low mobility adc (say you're Jinx, and they are Braum + Lucian or something) I suggest you try Support for a while.. Trust me. It helps you get more in tune with supports. You'll learn a lot more about Bot lane than you would imagine.

I'm Silver 1 support main (climbed as support btw). You'd be surprised how many clueless ADCs there are that don't know what item 3302 is, what it does, and will continue to fight for CS with me when I am just trying to consume charges to get money for myself.

Then again, sometimes you do get actual supports who don't want their role (should be unlikely as you pick your roles now).

Getting out of bronze is difficult. But I managed to do it as a 100 percent support main. As for riot fixing support for everybody to find it enjoyable. I like support role because i can focus on strengthening the strongest player and help carrying by proxy. But support is just that, a person that helps carrying and many people don't like being second fiddle. Some people(lower rating supports) will fix their lack of pure carrying by losing the support and going for full ap nuke. The only way to work around people like that is. 1: politely request them to atleast provide vision ward support. 2: tell them to build Relic shield if they take farm 3: use carries that can reliably survive 1v2 if your support goes haywire and starts "roaming"(think ezreal, corki and in some situations even urgot) 4: buy vision wards yourself, they survive forever if you place them in a well protectable location and they provide you with safety.
