Ok so i love this game. it is the only game i consistently play and/or come back to after new games. i have been bouncing between Gold 5 and silver 5 for literally over 2 years, might be 3. does anyone have some advice on advancing. i am not sure what im doing wrong. i watch a lot of streamers and youtubers. my CS is usually top or within the top 2-3. i main ADC second Jung btw. just looking for some opinions any help would be appreciated. please don't troll me its been a long week

His main channel talks about a lot of meta stuff, while his second channel, Phy Games, is an unranked to diamond channel, where basically he goes through his placements on a smurf and, from there, tries to get to diamond. He got placed in gold 1, and 100 episodes later he's still in like plat 3 on that account. He says that plat is where you'll spend most of your time when you're climbing, and one of the things that he definitely does say is to avoid ADC for the first climb. He's an ADC/jungle main, and it's exactly as he says: carrying with ADC is extremely difficult because, by the time you ramp up, typically one team is already much too fed for you to either even be necessary (if it's your team) or to do anything to stop them (for the enemy team).
Hauling Ashe1 votesWish I had been told this from the beginning. I love the adc position but it took me a few months of frustration and 3 demotions to realize that no matter how well I played, I had no effect on the game and it really all depended on whether the solo lanes fed.
Brutalitops011 votesSame. I mostly play ADC/jungle too, like Phy, and I definitely prefer ADC. However, unless you're playing champions who ramp up early (like Miss Fortune), usually your other lanes are either extremely fed or feeding hard by the time you reach a position to actually do anything useful, and if they're feeding hard, you generally don't reach that point. It's pretty much impossible to carry yourself to a high rating as ADC unless you legitimately deserve it.
