Chat bans, ranked bans and the new replacement for tribunal is trash

As far as i can tell based on personal experience and the tiny bits riot lies about in their news release, there seems to be zero human decision making when it comes down to issuing chat bans and ranked bans. Someone can report your for something as stupid as not banning the champion they wanted and they stack up and you are punished whether you are actually guilty of any wrong doing or not.

I did an experiment, i didn't type in chat for any reason at all. People would report me for losing lane or dying to many times or not building my champ the way they wanted me too and still after enough games you will be reported and get a warning that says my "behavior" is not acceptable blah blah. Sure enough after about 15 or so games of doing this every other game i lost earned me a report for some form of harassment. Apparently not saying ANYTHING at all gives you a chat ban just encase you were going to say something.

This community has become so pathetically sensitive that anything under the sun can be considered offensive. Riot expects a game where 90% of the time its players are playing roles they didn't want, forced to play with random strangers, all while being forced to work as a team and expects everyone to just get a long. This game is very competitive and competitive environments breed frustration and high emotion. It's not a bad thing its just the way it is and by pretending that toxic behavior is something you can fix you are actually lying to the community and exaggerating your ability.

The only way this community will ever be toxic free is if there's no winner and no losers. But in the meantime continue to alienate 50% of you community that plays to win and instead cater to your pathetic sensitive casuals that down vote these threads, while updating the tips bar with random made up propaganda "Did you know negative players lose 16% more games?". As if constantly stroking the ego of your 0-8 teamates who payed someone to boost their account to a rank they don't deserve is just magically going to make you win more.

But hey in the end its about making money and casuals are your wallet, so i don't expect anything to change, but i think its at least fair that this community knows the integrity of riot is that of a desperate to please liar. There is no oversight on reports, its just a formula that can be tricked, abused and used to attack players for any reason at all. Completing the never ending cycle of hate and rage this community has been accustomed too.

this is 100% true. a buddy of mine made a smurf account and we all reported it every game we played together for a week. the account ended up with a perma ban even tho he never even talked in chat or afked once so if u get troll reported you can expect to get screwed over

Riot claimed when it implemented the chat restriction system that people then review your account after a chat restriction is up. They're lying. It's all automated. Meanwhile games routinely involve 1-2 trolls who absolutely laugh at the idea of being banned as they intentionally feed and grief games. Great job Riot.

It is a truly broken system. I've read the Summoner's Code and meticulously adhered to it but people claim to report me all the time.

Sometimes it's a non-meta pick and I get reported for "trolling" even though I clearly tried (often performing fine). Champion choice is my decision and bears no weight on a trolling report if said player is not intentionally sabotaging the team.

If I disagree with a call and don't follow it, I get reported for "refusing to communicate" despite clearly outlining my plan.

Many times, the biggest ragers spouting profanities and insults claim to have reported me for "verbal abuse" if I so much as type something like "don't stay in their range when I'm getting vision." Sometimes I'm blamed for something and simply disagree that it was my fault etc. Again, I'm told that I'm reported for a multitude of things.

I've been the subject of dozens of unfair and simply false reports. They really shouldn't have any weight. I'd estimate more than 90% of the reports I'm told I've received have been simple lies or spite reports from ragers annoyed that I'd dare to defend myself.

omg preach! The leaver Buster system banned me from ranked for 35 games (WINS in normal draft) I was afk for like 5 mins in a game with 2 intentional trolls but never left the game ONCE, and another time my power went out and I still reconnected and won. This was enough for a 35 game ban.. like wtf. 35 wins in normal draft is like at least 70 games played with the fact that normal draft is like an exile for flaming toxic brats. It's going to take me over a month to play 70 games lmao. System is flawed to say the least :(

all this because apparently it's too hard for a multi-million dollar company to hire, even volunteers [that go through an interview of course], to handle reports. very hard.

I don't doubt there are good employees at Riot that would actually agree with us, but they'd probably get fired if they did agree. Overall, Riot is a giant dick and don't care about the players.

What I hate the most is when you make a support Ticket to ask why they just send you a pre written speech and that they cannot undo bans or chat restrictions once placed on your account. So even when a live person is involved they don't do anything.

This is an alt account, it has been chat restricted for over 300 games. I play the same champs the same way and say the same things to my teams on this account as I do on my other account. My other account has been chat restricted for 0 games. I have played many more games on my other account, this account was made after the new changes to chat restrictions and leaver buster and all that. This account is chat restricted and seems like it will always be chat restricted, my other account is not chat restricted and I don't foresee it being chat restricted any time soon as I am not a jerk to people I play with or against. The only explanation I can come up with? This account went through pre lvl 30 with the new chat restriction changes where my other account did not. As we all know, pre level 30 is pretty trolly and newbs and "smurfs" are quite report happy.

I feel this adds to the theory that there are no humans working the tribunal and that everything is automated. This makes me feel less valued as a customer, Riot will receive no more of my money ever as they have completely lost my trust. I'll still play, just not on this experimental account that was deemed 'perma chat ban' worthy.

Same happened to me. I got reported for "verbally abusing" my teammates, when i didn't say one word entire game and i had a rough game and went 4-7. I was called a feeder non stop by 3 people and they all reported me for verbal abuse. Next thing you know i have chat restriction. Garbage game.

In addition to all this BS, the chat bans now stack. I got a ~350 game chat ban and continued to flame for a hundred more games or so. I stopped BM's for the next couple hundred games though. Despite this, I still got another chat ban right after it was lifted for 700 games. RIOT obviously doesn't truly care about discouraging toxic players, because punishing someone for something they did a long time ago is pure lunacy.

They gathered information on bans now for over, what, two years? And they probably found patterns of banning that were 99.99% common among people who were banned. So they just ban them now. The reality is, people who are banned or unoriginal and predictable.

Btw, never been banned or suspended once. The secret? Don't be a jerk.

If you are playing in a way that gets you reports at least once EVERY game you deserve to get banned. Making an account and asking friends to report it EVERY game proves the system works because god dam I hope people that earn a report every game get permaed. p.s. you guys aren't being punished by troll reports I've had that happen to me too and I've never gotten a warning even.

Kind of hard for me to believe anything you say without proof of this "experiment", plus where are you getting these numbers from, "50% of the community that play to win"?

Why should i take anything you say seriously when you have nothing to back up your argument
