I am completely demoralized by the levels of trolling in low elo

I am at my wits end with the game culture - and I think it is only the last 2 seasons where it has been really terrible.

Nothing gets done. There is no recourse. Reporting yields less than 1% return on banning toxic/premeditated players.

This should be the greatest game available, but the game is now about trying to hold your composure while under duress. The gameplay itself is abstract and in the background.

Riot has been extremely lax & lenient in their player behavior standards as long as it doesn't involve anything in Chat (or the Leaver Buster punishing AFKs). But any in-game behavior, Riot doesn't give a flying @#$%. A lot of people like to complain about current state of balance. My gripe has always been Player Behavior above all else.

Agreed. I've had so many games where someone decides to troll because of something that happens that it's beyond me.

Jungler doesn't want mid to win. Literally typed, "I wish bot wouldn't carry, mid deserves to lose" as he AFK cleared his jungle in our 50 minute game where we were winning. If he had just come and helped us win, he could've left the game eariler.

Jungler doesn't like our top laner because, "top just couldn't play safe" after the enemy top laner had 3 kills. So, his response was to fight the enemy for their raptors, krugs, and such despite us Danger pinging him. He also would chase after the enemy ADC despite her clearly winning.

Jungler gives up, and decides it okay to just run under towers for a kill because "I have kills, I'm not inting." Was quick to argue with everyone on our team if we said anything against him, pointing out how we should build differently, how a champ was useless, etc.

Mid laner gave up because top lost and bot got camped. She tried to take a fight in river 2v4 vs the enemy bot lane, mid, and jungle. She could've easily walked away multiple times, but she kept trying to fight. She missed literally every ability, even ult, ate one slow, into perma CC, and died. Her response was to tell our top laner to "neck yourself" and then said, "turning on auto clicker, enjoy" as she tried to kill herself to jungle monsters.

ADC was doing fine, mid and top doing well. ADC just gives up at a certain point, selling his items for AP items, dying constantly despite being on one of the safest ADC in the game, and ended the game with more deaths that our three melee champions. We got baron, but 3 died and the jungler got caught shortly after. ADC was the only one left with the buff, so someone pinged Danger near him when they saw the enemy team closing in on him. He threw up the "Lux thumbs up" emote, and then walked straight into the enemy team.

Jungler is upset the game is going so long, even throwing up constant surrender votes. He would run up towards the enemies, throw his skill shot back at us, and then flash emote. He did this multiple times until he died, then he just started walking into them and inting.

And these are not just, "they had bad KDA" or anything. I had a top Trynd that was something like 0/7, but he was actually taking towers and such, just kept getting caught. I don't consider that trolling, or our top lane Teemo that was something like 0/4 against a Nasus. I'm not happy that my teammates had those scores, but they were trying to win the game and just had bad games. The others above me openly admitted to be trolls, and that I don't understand.

it took me 16 months to escape bronze. But I will say i didnt steadily climb. At about 14 months, I was bronze 4 and I just started carryign games. my skill level got to a point that my bronze opponent couldnt do shit. it WILL happen, persevere through the trolls, youll climb at one point

I don't like playing ranked (I'm Silver, climbed from Bronze 1 just playing about 1 game a week on average) because at this elo there's no many unranked players, or people who are very new at a champion playing ranked because they just don't care. There's such a skill-gap in Silver between people who deserve higher, and those who deserve lower that the games are almost always stomps for one side or the other. I VERY rarely get into a game where the game lasts 40 minutes and both teams are equally strong. IMO, Riot does need to add some sort of mastery requirement before playing a champion in ranked. It's really annoying getting a Tristana with 10k mastery points on your team who proceeds to feed because they're inexperienced with the role and champion.

At this point in ranked I've pretty much given up on Kayn jungle (who I really enjoy to play) and play support Velkoz Brand because I know hand feeding my 'special' ADC is the best chances to win.

Yeah, I'm with you OP, feeling like nothing gets done can be super frustrating. That's why I avoid playing solo. It's just not worth the stress. And having a buddy to chat with in voice comms just makes it so much more bearable.

Tbh I've seen an increasing number of deliberate trolls and smurfs this season over last. AFK seems less a problem, but I do feel that riot needs to take more time checking on accounts that consistently lose games then stop playing. I've even had one guy say he's platform and has 10 accounts to troll with because "It keeps people out of my elo". The problem is especially evident in silver where new accounts win 10 promos and get places mid silver to start. Add that to the number of accounts leveling using bots in AI games and the pattern is concerning. Riot need to start looking at IP addresses rather then just accounts.

Lol I was called a "%%%got" because I woulnd't gank for a pre 6 Diana who was 3 levels down vs an ezreal. Why was she 3 levels down? Oh because she was AFK. I said " well you were afk that's your fault." She tells me its my fault. lol okay.

the game is getting so bad that people are finding it more "entertaining" to troll then to play that actual game. And with accounts being free....

I can't take this shit any more. I have freefallen from troll effort in my games and League is unplayable now. Delete everything to do with my account. I do not want this constant barrage of hate and shit and lack of accountability any more. Just repulsive.

You are in bronze 5 man, the lowest of the elo.

Once you finally get out and get to bronze 4 it will be better.

I tend to play league in cycles. Play a lot for a while, stop, come back next year to do it again.

From my perspective, the ingame trollling/griefing has had a big downward spike of decline in the last year or two.

I think they made a decision to not care about enforcing behavior anymore. So people start griefing and afking more knowing that all they have to do is avoid leavebuster and they wont get punished.

This is the first time I've ever stopped playing league as much just because the griefing is so rampant that I cant be bothered to waste my time with the game.

I don't think that stops until you're in challenger because everyone there trys AND there are so few that they will be on your team again soon.
