Mid Year Mage Updates - Low-Scope Mage Directions

Riot have stated that their projections for Viktor were to "provide a team unique ways to play around enabling his huge teamfight potential rather than feeling like a one-man show". Does this mean that Viktor is becoming more team reliant? I believe Viktors kit is unique, except for his ult. It is literally just press R to do damage with DOT afterwards. Everything else feels unique, especially when upgraded with his hex-core. What are Riots ideas for Viktor? Will they be reducing his own power to buff his team mates?

While I don't complementary agree with this assertion, being THE VIKTOR is pretty much his damn thing. Everything being about HIS vision, HIS design, HIS Glorious Evolution, HIS Genius.

Like, this kind of goes against Viktor's identity.

I really wish we could get an idea of what they want, maybe something currently in use as a comparison (help hold enemies in rumble ult potentially). Many immobile mages are sorta oneman shows that run around and suddenly cast teamfight changing abilities that with enough skill usually work on their own. Its just weird cause for me the goals for his changes are much more vague in what they might be aiming for compared to the others where I understand the goals of them more easily, maybe its a personal ability to envision these ideas that makes it seem more vague to me.
