Stoneborn Pact

I notice it says the healing is halved if one is ranged, but is it talking about the applier or the one benefiting from the application? For instance:

If Cait hits Braum's target, is she getting half the effect? Or would she only be getting half the effect if say, Thresh applied it because he's ranged?

Caitlyn, the one who is proccing it.

The amount healed is determined by the person applying it. i.e. Braum will create a rune that heals others (regardless of attack range) for full, while Janna creates a rune that heals others for half.

In your example, Cait will heal for the full amount if Braum applies it.

Source: went into a custom game with a friend with both a melee and ranged champ applying the mark, and both a melee and a ranged champ receiving the health.

Thx.

Pretty sure caitlyn would be getting half of the effect because that wouldn't really make sense being that a large portion of slows are ranged, including braum's

I mean the type of champion. Say because Braum is melee, his pact would heal more than Thresh's.

I know that, I'm saying that it wouldn't really make sense in that way because braum's slow is ranged, as are most other slows.

abilities being ranged or not isnt what makes a champ melee or not... its their auto attack range

for example... naut is melee but his q and ult are ranged right ?

THAT IS NOT WHAT I AM SAYING AT ALL.

FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE QUESTION I AM SAYING THAT IT WOULD MAKE ZERO SENSE IF THE PERSON APPLYING STONEBORN IS RANGED GETS HALF THE EFFECT BECAUSE THEY ARE RANGED WHEN MOST OF THE APPLICATIONS OF IT ARE RANGED.
