Champion Shards shouldn't be in chests!

Im currently lvl 228 and have all the champs but every level I get champion capsules it feels so useless and pointless. On top of that loot chest can give u champ shards which is like why? I get the champ shards from leveling why do I get them in the chests I get for doing well on my champs I should be getting skins. Masterwork chest can give u emotes and like 100 orange essence like I don't want emotes from a high tier chest. It feel like i'm not getting rewarded for doing well and there's no point. I love getting chests hoping to get a skin for a champion a play and even then I like getting the skin shard but I'll open it to get ANOTHER champion shard like i feel really defeated. Champion shard are useless to Higher level players unless im doing my mastery 6 or 7 even then I have so much blue essence I can just use that instead of the shards cause there is no use for it other than buying champions. I'm not rewarded when i get these chests maybe I have bad luck but it makes no sense for u to be able to get champion shards in a chest when u get them for leveling maybe i'm very unlucky with my chests but the skin shards are already a dice role already for if ur gonna get a skin for a champ that u really play don't get me wrong i love getting skin shards regardless but it irritates me that i get Champion shards in my chests. After a certain level u should have all the champions and at a certain point each level should give u like a chest or emote but champion shards are piling up and don't need to use them cause i already have all the champs and new champs i can insta buy cause of the blue essence that i have so much of. Dose this annoy anyone else i feel like that they should change it!

The Level progression system initial plan was to give champion capsules and blue essence in the first levels, and later on, orange essence and skin shards along with other unique rewards.

Sadly like with everything Riot does, it seems it was abandoned, and as such it will stay like this forever probably until someone decides to change it.

Yeah it sucks to go through all the time and effort to get an S-rank and a chest (particularly towards the end of the season when I've already gotten all the ones on champs I usually play and am very good at) and then get a single champ shard.

Although it makes me not mind as much when I get a skin shard for a champ I don't play and will never play, because at least I got a skin shard in the first place. Maybe that's their plan XD

Honestly I believe that if Riot isn't going to remove shards from chests the champ should be worth at least 4800 if not 6300. This is still the worst chest i've gotten, it feels like its mocking me https://i.imgur.com/zfTfb7Z.png{}

Yea i got an emote form a masterwork chest it was a feels bad but at least i got 100 orange essence and yea i was told it looks messy it was my first post if i ever make another post ill try to make it less messy with formatting

Masterwork chests aren't actually high tier. They're just cosmetic only.

Maybe they arnt higher tier dosent change the fact chests give champion shards when u get so many over time its so easy to level and get them

I have ran into this issue too. I understand that we can utilize the champion shards to help with mastery changes but at a certain point what reward is there to going further and leveling. I have been playing this game for a long time and after earning all the champions the reward we get for attaining levels beyond 100+ is just skin shards. Blue Essence is already useless so why make it worse to give us more useless currency.

ive played the game for 9+ years i dont think i deserve free skins but whats the point of having this leveling system with these rewards when all i get are champion shards when i have all the champs already maybe after idk ever 50 lvls reward me with other than champs and boarders just me w/e i cant pay for all my skins and just when i feel like i have a chance to even get a skkin shard i get more champion shards

I understand how you could confuse greed with entitlement, the line is rather thin in places.

You have to understand that this system of free skins is still relatively new, we did NOT have this free skin system in the past. We did not get access to free key shards and chests for emotes and skins and wards in the past, we had to BUY our skins unless they were Ranked rewards or you liked them on Facebook or something.

All OP is really saying is that they deserve more free skins than all the players who played during the time when they didn't have such easy access to free skins.

Everything out of the chests are useless. We are playing a video game. It's useless to 99% of us except as a means of entertainment. You don't need skins to play they are just pretty and you want them, preferably for free.

Just be honest.

Do you need achievements in games? Of course not cause the enjoyment of the game is enough its that extra hella yea feeling when u get one though. you don't need skins to i never said that why add something in ur game if dose nothing important what so ever? EVERYONE would "preferably" get something for free duh ITS FREE not everyone has money to throw at this game and when they put the crafting in it felt good to get cosmetics for playing the game now it just feels i play the game and get more champion shards that mean nothing to me sense i have all the champs

Also i don't feel i i deserve more skins cause i played when we didn't have this system but that's not what i meant i've bought skins before and i've played for a really long time i love league and some of the things they have done i put hours into league most games make u feel rewarded for playing a lot sometimes its achievements and such. league went with a crafting system for skins when i came out i was so happy i dont have money to buy skins whenever a skin i like comes out but than they added leveling and every level u get a champion capsule at level 228 i have ALL the champs and chests give out champion shards and i don't feel rewarded for doing well on champs i did good enough to get an S on it should be rewarding you in my opinion i still find league fun and enjoyable its just irritating to finally get a chest and get more champion shards
