Why doesn't Fizz get nerfed

I just played versus a Fizz and he just one shot me all the game. At each patch, Riot doesn't nerf champions who need one and this isn't just for fizz, it's for all champions who are broken is this game.

They've announced nerfs for Fizz MANY times but end up changing their minds on it, it's clear they're just too busy trying to sexualize Riven, Ahri, Sona and Miss Fortune in new upcoming skins.

They never nerf assassins, because they make LC$BIGPLAY$

Because Fizz isn't OP: he just has a playstyle that's annoying to deal with especially in lower ELO levels. That he can one shot when ahead is more due to being an assassin then being fizz because a ton of champs can do that.

It's a general reason why a lot of "Super OP" champions don't get nerfed, because they are only super OP against people who aren't good at efficiently countering their play-styles, champions like Fizz or Illaoi or Darius that force you to play around them are especially common in this category, because people are usually too stubborn to play around a champion and insist on just bullrushing into things. But when you actually learn how to deal with them effectively all of a sudden you realize oh wait no they weren't actually that strong.

Fizz combo, E - Zhonya's - E then burst you down, pro plays right there, if you were mentally challenged, it'd be an impressive play.

What you just said: "I just sat around doing nothing for several seconds while the enemy attacked me, which means the enemy attacking me is super OP " (sidebar I'm not a fizz player and have barley touched the champ in years)

Fizz's abilities have finite qualities and ranges that can be played around. Instead you probably just go up to him and try to straight up duel him while ignoring what he's capable of because you feel that "you should be able to do that" and the fact that you can't just ignore what Fizz does is clearly a problem with Fizz.

When he dashes it will always go to the same place, so throw your AOE behind yourself if hes gonna dash through and then keep walking forward so that you get the most distance and out of his jump range, while his jump is pending don't just throw out critical abilities willy nilly. And his ult is perfectly dodgeable so long as you don't just rush at him in a straight line.

better still take a long range champ like ziggs or a tanky mid like galio or cho. And then just wear him down from outside his range, or just straight up fight him because his burst wont kill you as a tank and then hes out of spells.

So I guess the obvious question here since you were playing Vel'Koz whose naturally weak to Fizz -- why didn't you build a banshee? Not only would it prevent you from feeding the Fizz by removing his combo and giving you MR, but you also would've had higher damage since people have a harder time interrupting your ultimate.
