Current Shyvana update (Personal thoughts)

First of: I'll try to explain the Current PBE (16/11/2016) situation of Shyvana as I understand it.

1º Pasive and, posibly, a "hidden" pasive. The "non PBE" pasive Is as such: Shyvana gains 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 bonus armor and magic resistance, doubled to 20 / 30 / 40 during the effects of Dragons Descent [Her ult, dragon form.] So the new pasive eliminates the added armor and resistance at dragon form. Instead, Shyvana grants HERSELF a permanent bonus for each kind of dragon slained Infernal: Converts (5/7.5/10%) damage dealt into true damage Mountain: Takes (10/15/20%) less damage from monsters and turrets Cloud: Grants (5/10/15%) slow resistance Ocean: Grants (1/10/15%) CDR

2º W Burnout It will, no longer, leave a fire trail behind shyvana. Instead, now its a bit bigger. Like, I don't know for sure, 50 units more? Not appreciable in game.

3º E Flame Breath At dragon form, it will only be one linear flame instead of a cone. It will also explode into a small pit of fire.

4º R Dragons Descent During Flight, Shyvana its invulnerable to CC. She will triger traps, though. Also, the bonus Health Points are reduced. This is invested in more base Health Points and more Health Points per level.

Please, someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Now, time for PERSONAL OPINIONS.

1º A change in the innate is good. But, Shyvana should be a terrifying being by herself. Not depending on a good combo or three infernal drakes. Suggestions:

=> +5% magic resist for every unique enemy kill. This would make shyvana off tank a very frightening late champion. But, she needs to work for it. Just like Rengar.

=> Damaging an enemy championg will consume 2 points of fury and burning the oponent for 2 second dealing bonus magical damage for 2% of their current health per second. Doubled, the consume and the damage but not the time, when on dragon form. Regenerates 1/2/3 fury per second [pending on R level] and 1/2/3 per champion hit by an abillity. I don't know how really powerfull this trully is. I think that it makes her suffitienlly powerfull damage based. But it lacks the "tank/offtank" of shyvanas core.

=> +10% bonus health. Doubled when in dragon form. This will make her really tanky. But only in mana pool.

=> +5 / 10 / 15 / 20 bonus armor and magic resistance, doubled to 20 / 30 / 40 during the effects of Dragons Descent I really think that it is a trully core trait for Shyvana.

=> For each 3% health that Shyvana is mising, she gains +1% of armor and magic resist. Doubled when in dragon form. A dragon is meant to be hard to kill. With this, she is harder the nearer you are to kill her. Not absourdly so, but enough. Besides, this innate is more usefull with off tank items.

2º I think that Shyvana diserves some love in a meta full of movillity champions. Wile I think that the +move speed is good, I think that it is not enough. Suggestions:

=> Burnout blast a fire pit onto the ground and launches Shyvana throw the air 300/400/500/600/700 units or until she reaches the mouse. Wile in dragon form, she stores 3 charges. When Burnout is used, Shyvana gains +50 movement speed that decays over 1 second. It makes sense that a dragon can fly. Does it not, Aurelion?

3º I really like the new E. But it fails a little in power, I think. Suggestions:

=> Radial push. A miny version of Gragas ult.

=> Area of slow./ On hit slow. Well, cc is a great power. And forced movement and slows are good exchanges of raw damage.

=> Leave it. If Shyvana is finally able to fast gank without R (with my suggestion for the W), the current E is enough.

=> Afther a 0.25 sec delay, breathes the fire ball. If it hits a champion, it explodes and stuns for 0.25 that champion. If it does not hit, the fire ball explodes anyway. The exposion leaves the fire pit. As said, cc is a great power. But a stun is maevy a lot when you are forced to stand on a fire pit. Thats way the delay.

4º Again, I like the new ultimate. But, i think that fling should be a more core aspect of a dragon. Thats the reason for my Burnout suggestion. Henceforth, my Suggestions:

=> Instead of flying and beeing invulnerable while, Shyvana abruptly explodes into a dragon knoking back all enemies and unleashing her from all current cc. Again. Dragons. Fear. Unstopable brute force of nature. Maeby not able to unleash suppresiong.

This are my ideas for Shyvana. Hope you like it. Hope this is the wright place to post this.

Tbh I don't like most of these ideas.

E shouldn't slow - Shyvana is pretty well known for having absolutely no crowd control (besides R). I don't think we should change it.

Would also make her a lot stronger by freeing her up to buy Skirmishers.

Giving her W a dash makes her a bit too mobile imo, think of it as 4 dashes during their ult. Remember those Ahri complaints? Also, it means she loses almost all of her mid-early game damage. W was also her main clearing tool - now she's gonna get destroyed by the jungle. Especially with the E losing on hit %max health damage.

I'd like to keep the resists so we can still stack health and damage. Resist items don't often give damage or useful stats (besides DMP)

That is probably the only thing you mentioned that is somewhat unique and plausible for Shyvana to have. Also, most of the other changes you've mentioned would give her too much power. I'm assuming they are trying to transfer her power to other parts of her kit to make her less overbearing. Basically (as always is the case with every champion rework, it seems), they're looking to make her early game weaker and her late game stronger.

Personally riot is doing what I call "meme passive' this is what riot does when they want to nerf a champ but have little to no repercussions because half the board will be spammed with memes.

They did It with Cass. They doing It with Shyvana.

Both remakes of her passive, which her passive being a straight up armor and magic resist buff are fine. But, riot does not like it cause It gives her veristity. Which riot hates in champs. You see they only like champs with have a streamline style.

Both versions they wish to add make shyvana have to play a mini game which is not in her favor. And has the same problem as the kind nerf. She has to be baby sat.

I'm slowly starting to think riot is a tad sexist,since this is the second female jungler who has been forced into a helpless "Needz baby sitter" role. And is of a long line of female champs they fucked up hard. Hell, they "fixed" poppy only to nerf her as well. So,maybe riot sexist.

I guess my main issuse is much like kindred. They are forced into the jungle and almost seem like they are not aloud to come out, meanwhile Rengr is reward fro coming out, Volibear can come out anytimes, so can Yi or Uyrd and warwick. And all five of those champos have a strong hp regan and 4 of them a flippin stun.

I do not need the logic in punishing a charcater with less reward. I mean if you gonna make Shyvana fight over the dragon and It was some game breaking thing like. Each dragon she kills giver her 10 armor/MR,10damage, 100 heath, speed boost,and/ or make her ult from even more powerful. Then, I would get the gating of It. But as of now, you make her fight for something junktier that does less then scion and Threshes stacks (which they get from anything) and ehr ulty now only giving her a small less then a ruby hp boost.

This is clearly just a nerf so Rengar can compete his mission of being the viable no tank jungler.
