What needs to be done with Flask

There was a problem with people buying flask and pots? I thought the problem was TP/Smite...

Well judging from the downvotes, no one really agrees with you.
If the opponent bought that much sustain, I just all in them and make sure they learn to buy damage or tank first next time.
If the opponent wants to set themselves back 345g to sit back and farm safely, I'm going to take that 345g lead and not take enough damage to let their sustain matter. Eventually that 345g will become a 1k lead unless their jungler is smarter than me.
No thanks, I rather like being able to lane against ranged champs as a melee.
I think somebody's just super salty about not being able to poke somebody to death.
Protip from a scrub, OP: Sustain counters poke. It has to, otherwise sustain is useless... and this isn't the league of poke.

I still don't get why that's a problem. Care to explain a bit? I got the 'either is too much'... but WHY?
They need to build flask with better lvl 1 then because flask+3 at lvl 1 isn't too overbearing. It's just when they come back with 5 red sodas
okay i've read all the comments so far but please can you tell me why you think flask needs a nerf, all you've said is that you shouldn't be able to start pots, why? are you complaining about lvl 1 camps allowing you to buy flask 5 health pots 2 mana pots and a ward? if so then get with the meta dude, But really, can you explain why you think you shouldn't be allowed to start pots AND flask?

Also, being able to override a previous elixir with another one is useful sometimes. I had a game where I still had an Elixir of Sorcery active, but saw an opening with a wave of minions heading toward the enemy base. I swapped to Elixir of Ruin and sped those minions up to take a turret and inhibitor while most of the enemy team was dead.
