@Riot Change ranked requirements.

From the new season changes, all sunmoner spells are unlocked at level 9 and all rune options are available level 19 onwards, therefore there is no reason to keep people out of ranked post level 19 given they have enough champions to pick/ban from (20)

This streamlines a couple of things: it allows for people under level 20 to play clash, it allows for streamers and people who are willing to buy champs with RP an easier time into ranked games, and overall reduces the arbitrary level limit ranked queue currently has

Edit: Okay, the number one concern people seem to have is that "these new players aren't ready for ranked, so they'll just drag us down as we try to climb out of whatever division they are placed in." My response to that is you're more likely to be quenued vs said players than with, so if anything this benefits your climb (5 on enemy team vs 4 on yours)

Upvote, although the major problem with this is just that a lot of people won't have enough experience to not goof up their ranked career without having to get to 30. I have a friend that played a bunch of ranked before he was good at the game and now his mmr rating is so bad that it's near impossible for him to get out of bronze even though he's at least Silver IV.

I disagree, genuinely new players who are level 19 will not be prepared to compete in the ranked environment, and enabling them to jump into it will only worsen their experience with the game. TBH even new players who are level 30 are ill prepared to take on ranked. Also lowering the requirement also enables toxic players who got banned to get back into ranked more quickly on a new account.

Please, no.

Just because you unlock something doesn't mean you have immediate mastery of them. Players need time to learn runes. Putting players fresh into ranked would destroy them, especially because Riot starts you at S3 for placement games...

You're in gold so you probably haven't experienced bronze for a while, but honestly, Bronze is bad enough, especially low Bronze... B4 was so fucking hard to climb out of because of the abysmal decision-making of teammates. If I could keep a 55% winrate on my own, and my team's faults in games causes a loss once in 10 games, that's a 45% WR.

We don't need more inexperienced players in Bronze, trapped forever.

the game has a learning curve that I don't think most people can grasp by level 19 or 20. they have it set at 30 because they want people to know the game pretty well before joining the competitive side. i wouldn't mind if they lowered the level for clash though since that can be teams of friends and is a weekend event

Id agree. Theres no reason a newer player shouldnt be allowed to play ranked if they want. If they have skill, theyll climb. If not, theyll just fall in rank. The system will sort them out fine.

The only logical argument against this would be if ranked was a more toxic environment and made more people quit.

honestly if mmr where taken away, if it is a thing, i would almost say raise the level requirement till people know what everyone pretty well. and has a little experience against them.... level cap 60 maybe? but this is only if mmr isnt a thing. the ranked que times has nothing to do with this, i would rather have a game that is worth playing vs. noobie stomps left and right. Also would prevent smurfing a little more. though this would have to have some sort of exception applied to old 30s who come back who would have normally hit the correct cap already.
