This is my first season of ranked and I have finally been able to get myself to silver. Though in recent times I am on a huge losing streak I am constantly seeking to become better wishing to be gold by the end of this ranked season I was wondering if any more knowledge players help me through my ranked journey. Couple of things: Try maining 1 or 2 champions This one is self explanatory but yes. Generally people climb a lot faster maining a certain champion. Learning how they work what they are able to do etc etc. It's why you see so many one tricks at high plat.
No flaming/mute flamers This one should be a given but no doubt I've noticed a in a ton of low elo games people ALWAYS flame. Even if you're only 0/2 in lane people at low elo tend to flame and just generally give up on the game. I'll be honest I was once this person and even gotten one of my other accounts perma banned because of said flaming/running down mid ETC. If you do it don't. It drops your win rate so much. No matter how bad the game may seem play it till the end. People make mistakes, even more so at low elo.
Ward Sounds obvious? It is but this is actually the #1 that will make you climb higher. Atleast high gold honestly. I always see low elo complain about "omg I get no ganks and I always get ganked". Yeah ok but 1.) You're overextended and 2.) YOU HAVE NO WARDS. Then they go on and bitch to their jungler tilting them. This may seem obvious but seriously, ward. It'll save you more often than not from being ganked or dying to a gank. Also ALWAYS WARD KEY SPOTS. I cannot stress this enough. I've seen low elo so many times say "oh its the supports job to ward not mine". NAH SON it doesn't work like that it's a team game. Not only that but supports have a limited amount of wards. You see that Baron not warded 35 mins into the game? Ward that shit.
Map awareness This goes hand in hand with wards. No point in putting wards down if you don't bother looking at the damn mini map. ALWAYS keep a look out at your mini map. Atleast look it every 5-10 seconds. Seriously. I've seen top laners put wards in the bush/tri AND have scuttle and the enemy jungler just walks up and kills them. I'll be honest I'm being a bit of a hypocrite because I do this myself sometimes lol. But generally map awareness is something that is a must to climb fast. Look at the map. You see an enemy ganking one of your team mates? Ping them to becareful just incase they don't see it.
General Tips
CS > Kills 90% of the time. Seriously CS instead of trying to always go for a kill and it'll do you wonders. Only go for a kill if they are clearly vulnerable and the jungler isn't near.
Improving your CS does wonders for you.
If your lane is pushed all the way to the enemy laner's tower then roam. This generally applies to top laners
ALWAYS ward around dragon pit/Baron pit when you're doing it unless you absolutely know the enemy cannot steal it. I've seen so many blind steals happen because of lack of vision.
Build for the match not the champion. This one is obvious but many times low elo stick to one build all the time. DO NOT DO THIS. Enemy got a lot of magic damage with a Evelyn jungle and Corki adc? Build that Spirit Visage/ Banshee's Veil not the fucking Sunfire Cape or Deadman's Plate.
