Azir Tips

Hello! Level 25 Naut & Vel'Koz main here. Recently I have been getting into playing Azir but I can not seem to do well as I want to. I want to get better and actually help out my team instead of that guy who does nothing to help. So my question is, what are some tips and strategies to make sure I don't die every team fight and jungle gank (besides warding if course) and what masteries do you guys take? Any helpful tips are appreciated
