MAGE ITEM KEKW·11/25/2019, 1:47:12 PM·2 votes·811 views

RIot, I know I'm pulling a hashinshin... but I honestly think he's right on a lot of things ( and wrong on a lot more..) but I know me and a lot of players who like to play tanks have felt this. You can be hyper fed on Ornn DrMundo Aatrox Shen Volibear and still be melted by mages. A lot of mages currently have some form of magic pen or true damage in their kit, like Ahri Evelynn, there's also champs like Katarina who have an aoe that applies grievous wounds R.I.P DrMundo. Not to mention there's also ignite in the game as well as item 3135 that gives 40% magic pen...

Ok let's look at MR Items, There's Spirit Visage, Adaptive Helm, Abyssal Mask, Gargoyles & (Locket if ur champ can use it viably). I just want to know why these items have so much fewer stats than their armor counterparts. For instance item 3194 350 Health and 55 MR & Has 400 Health & 70 armor. So 50 more health & 15 more armor... and the rest is pretty much the same, and also adc, assassins & some bruisers don't even have true damage in their kits. Sure there's Camille Darius but that's 2 compared to plenty of mages with built-in true damage or pen. All I'm asking for is more MR items that work in certain situations may be something that reduces a flat amount of damage taken from magic damage, and obviously that could be really strong, just don't give it CDR or op stats maybe like 200 health & 30 MR and give it like 20-50 reduced damage from autos & spells. Not having CDR or super good stats would make it a bad rush item since he stats are low, but would give tanks a late game against mages... or just buff the existing items :)

I don't know, obviously I'm just a little tilted about getting gutted by mages late game. If my idea of an item sucks (probably does, thought it up in a second) let me know what should be done, and if you actually think tanks are balanced change my mind... Although I ranted for a while, I do think the aftershock change is a push in the right direction.

Have a good Day Ya'll [slayer-jinx-wink]

ok lets discuss this properly because these hashinshin statements are annoying

A mage will burst you and then stop dealing damage for a while (except for cases like azir cass ryze akali (probably a few more but these are exceptions not the rule)) this means that if a mage does 2k dmg in burst you having 50% mitigation means the mage can only do 1k dmg to you in lets say 5-10s intervals now AD champions for comparison can do a lot of dmg in very extended periods a Darius stops dealing damage to you once he ooms or dies an ADC stops dealing damage to you once they die this means that the AD source of damage (unless you are an assassin) is ongoing (this is why assassins buy lethality and adcs and bruisers buy % pen like cleaver and last whisper) this means that while a mage is waiting for his cds an adc is wailing on you still and thus dealing WAY more damage than the mage even if you don't particularly feel it (after all you are getting 1 shot by the oriana and not by the ashe right?) but in reality in a 20s fight the adc will deal more damage without penetration than the mage with penetration just because thats how AD vs AP works

thats why ap items give more ap thats why ap pen items give more pen thats why adaptive force gives mroe ap than ad

just because of those damage time frames and access a mage that is oomed has 0 damage output a draven that is oomed will still hit hard (another reason for the skew)

Now that that is out of the way AP items are just too good for what they do the skew of power output is not at all balanced nothing compares to value to a zhonya nothing compares to value to a banshee nothing even comes close to value of a mejai or dcap

so i think ap items need to be nerfed (and more specifically their effects)
