To start off with this post I would like to let you guys know I blow at this game. I just want to know if there is a way to play on a locked cam and then when I hit space it turns to free cam. I know you can hold space and it turns to locked cam, but I mostly play on locked cam and I can't switch trust me.
TXO Parzival2 votesIf you look in the bottom corner near the map there should be a cam icon I have my Lock/unlock bound to y so i only hit it when i need it
Gameinformer4041 votesTap Y in game to lock the camera onto the center of your champion. Tapping it again will unlock. If this is your first MOBA though. Try to learn unlocked, it will help you much more.

Baka Red1 votesIn addition to the advice you have already gotten here, I suggest you to check out the settings. It is possible to have a semi-locked state, that allows you to scroll the screen around while never allowing your own champion to leave your sight. However, like Gameinformer404 says, you are better off by not playing with the lock. The scrolling speed can be adjusted in the settings also and that might make it more tolerable for you.
