If only Team Builder hadn't gone.

First of all I know it's been nearly a month since they retired Team Builder and started this new method of role selection but I just came back so this is my 2 cents on the Team Builder amidst the madness of the Dominion retirement.

So I am an old school League of Legends player that hasn't played in a significant capacity since nearly 2 jungles ago and back when Zac was released. I had simply lost the time to be able to play and the community at that point in time had reached and all time low in salt and toxicity.

Fast forward to a few months ago - I come back to play casually because Dota had gotten me back into MOBAs and I had an itch to play LoL again. Imagine my surprise when after not keeping up with the game for so long I find the glorious Team Builder which allowed someone like me who had no idea what this newer jungle was, and had forgotten proper league picking etiquette to play the game without having to worry about not being able to get the role that I wanted to play while getting back into the game. I played on and off casually for a couple months with some co-workers and it was a lot of fun getting to play what I wanted during the fairly rare times that I could play. As a casual player this was an incredible blessing to play what I want in my 1-2 games a day instead of being forced to go something I wasn't planning on going.

Now I come back today and want to play some - almost all of my friends have quit so I have to solo queue, and look what I find. My Team Builder is gone and replaced by this system where I am forced to either play draft pick and get dodged on non-stop or I get bitched at when I pick a character that fits my role but they don't want. Hell there are a lot of characters I don't have yet because I have fallen so far behind. Then they get mad at me and dodge when I can't play their favorite support or something.

This whole system just makes me not want to come back. It removes the ease of getting into a game that would be fun for ME and that's what is important to me as a player. No offense to the rest of my teams but while I want everyone to have fun and be on a well organized team and win, my own enjoyment comes first when I am putting my time into playing.

To sum it all up I really wish they hadn't gotten rid of Team Builder. The game just becomes less and less accessible to new players and old timers coming back alike. I already have to worry about trying to unlock another 30 champions and learning all the new items and jungle, I don't want to have to be forced into a character that I don't want to play or be relied upon to counter pick in a game that I know little about anymore.

Bring. Back. Team. Builder..... please?
