So simple questions:
Why have three tiers of runes when nobody uses the lower ones? Why do we not have a way to get rid of low tier runes?
Maybe it's my OCD, but it bugs me to no end to have so much clutter.
I didn't have someone hold my hand when i started so i didn't save my IP for level 20.

the entire dual customization system is entirely pointless. for money reasons they cant get rid of runes at this point anymore. so imo they should look into a way to combine runes and masteries into one system and rebalance prices to not be absurd.
i probably invested a good 100k ip into runes before i was able to make a decent variety of runepages for different champions. so riot would take a lot of heat for just removing runes. if theyd refund the ip, a lot of people could probably buy the entire remaining champion pool.
the only way to rework the entire thing would probably to remove both, runes and masteries, refund all the runes. and then introduce a combined system with more reasonable ip costs, so people would invest the ip they got refunded into the new system.

I wouldn't get rid of them though, just remove their IP cost completely (and give refunds!!!), and lose the cost of extra rune pages. Runes are a nice way to give a little customization to your champion.
You don't have to get rid of lower tier runes either, see it as playing with a handicap. And if we could actually customize the bots lower tier runes would be nice for newer players to give to the bots to slowly work up to the higher tier runes other players use.
Its the same shit with unlocking champions, the IP costs are absurd, get rid of RP being able to unlock champs and get a pricing scheme basted on how difficult a champ is to play, keep the prices reasonable and leave the RP bullshit for skins.
