League of Legends ranked climb is beyond a joke.

Could anybody from Riot explain to me what the logic is behind the current ranked system? At least concerning new accounts and placements. What incentive is there for new players to start playing ranked and play this game any bit competitively with the current system. I started playing league again, in which i created a new account and finally made it all the way to level 30. After a 5-3 run in solo/duo placements, I'm given bronze 2 as a reward. Bronze 2. In a world of 30-45 minute games that can inch you step by step up to now, wow, bronze 1. Don't forget about the toxic wasteland that is bronze and silver in the first place. I challenge anybody to play 3 games at a bronze/silver rating and tell me you don't have multiple teammates that claim the game is over when the enemy team has no more than a 5 kill lead.
