set in Bronze 5 after winning 7/10 prov games... explain?

well i played my provi. games for ranked play and won 7 out of 10 games. last year i was in bronze. and was hoping to get out of bronze in general but instead i was put in bronze V (5) the worst ranking possible.... seriously riot i would really like an explanation. i tried so hard i even earned the teamwork ribbon and have been doing alot better since did ranked last year.. yet im put back in the worst of the worst ranks this acctually made me not want to play any more. as ill continue to get stuck with trolls, rude people, and more trolls.

so yea would love a detailed explanation on what the heck is going on.

placements don't just look at wins and losses, it considers the mmr of all the other players in the game you probably won games when you were matched with players on the lower end of bronze V, but every time the game matched you with players on the upper end or in bronze IV you lost and it dropped your mmr back down into the middle or lower bronze V considering you were there last season too, you probably belong there and blame your team too much for your own mistakes.

hate to break it to you, but you probably belong in bronze. maybe not b5, but def no higher than b3 possibly b2. Last season i took an account and intentionally set myself into b5, got it to gold in less than a week with minimal effort, was carrying 4v5s even. If last season you were bronze 4, then yes, bronze 5 is your correct placement regardless of how many games you won. unless you won all 10, your mmr is going to be set there.

If you truly are playing normals with higher elo players and winning, they MIGHT be carrying you a bit; or you would ahve no problem winning even with an afk regardless of the role. you can pretty much play any hardcarry champ and win down there

Placements are a nightmare and screws up a lot of people. Its one of the most flawed systems i've seen. Even Diamond and Challenger players hates this.

As someone who went from Bronze 4 to Gold 3 i'll give you some advice.

Do not rely on your teammates. Pick champions that can carry and snowball the game by themselves. I used Leona to get me out of Bronze, and all ad J4 top to get me out of silver. Snowball type champions are your best friends.

I had the same thing happen. Got out quickly though. Because I didn't belong there. If you don't belong there you'll get out quickly too.

To be perfectly blunt, if you've been consistently placed in Bronze, then that's where your current skill level is. However, that doesn't mean you can't improve. I firmly believe anyone can reach a minimum of Silver, perhaps Gold, as long as they put in enough effort and actually try to learn from mistakes.

Same happened to me. I play Support and have a great KDA 2/6/22 as Leona and was silver 5 and I got bronze 5. Fuck that noise. I just went and bought Heroes of the storm. Fuck you riot.
