set in Bronze 5 after winning 7/10 prov games... explain?

well i played my provi. games for ranked play and won 7 out of 10 games. last year i was in bronze. and was hoping to get out of bronze in general but instead i was put in bronze V (5) the worst ranking possible.... seriously riot i would really like an explanation. i tried so hard i even earned the teamwork ribbon and have been doing alot better since did ranked last year.. yet im put back in the worst of the worst ranks this acctually made me not want to play any more. as ill continue to get stuck with trolls, rude people, and more trolls.

so yea would love a detailed explanation on what the heck is going on.

placements don't just look at wins and losses, it considers the mmr of all the other players in the game you probably won games when you were matched with players on the lower end of bronze V, but every time the game matched you with players on the upper end or in bronze IV you lost and it dropped your mmr back down into the middle or lower bronze V considering you were there last season too, you probably belong there and blame your team too much for your own mistakes.

It doesnt deny the fact that placements is an extremely flawed system.

even according to the people complaining the loudest about them, placements have placed within one or two divisions of where they belong. if you think you can get out of bronze V you aren't supposed to give up after your placements, you're supposed to actually play during the season.

If we assume that all players that have no rank will be placed at B5 and you win more then 5/10 games... then you are above a 50%-50% win rate making YOU the clear determining factor in those games. I played with a Jax that had 9/10 and got B5... The fact is this. If you win more then 50% of the games then it is not a mater of you getting carried. If you are dead even in skill with the other team and you play 10 games then you should have 5-10. So say you got pared with people that were bad.... Really bad... IF YOU went 7/10 then you are better then the people you were with. And again... If we assume they are B5 skill (Because there is no lower rank) you should be placed B4 or higher if you win more then 5/10.

It is a Huge Error on Riots part. If you got the fastest time around the track and were still placed dead last at the starting line... Would you want to race the next day?

i tried that last year and all that happens is i try to carrie but the team feeds so i lose simple as that cant move up from that shit

hate to break it to you, but you probably belong in bronze. maybe not b5, but def no higher than b3 possibly b2. Last season i took an account and intentionally set myself into b5, got it to gold in less than a week with minimal effort, was carrying 4v5s even. If last season you were bronze 4, then yes, bronze 5 is your correct placement regardless of how many games you won. unless you won all 10, your mmr is going to be set there.

If you truly are playing normals with higher elo players and winning, they MIGHT be carrying you a bit; or you would ahve no problem winning even with an afk regardless of the role. you can pretty much play any hardcarry champ and win down there

you cant get out of bronze 5 with constant trolls and afkers. it is not how you play league. my mmr was set to 25 when in bronze 5 the best is 742 which is comeplete BS when i was doign great my team mates wernt helping barly and im doign my best. my friends probyl do carrie me but i help them in anyway i can just as a jungler should i dont belong in bronze 5. because thats pretty much sayign riot wants me to play with lil kids who cant cooperate for the life of them

Sorry but the enemy team is just as likely to have trolls. Actually from a statistical stand point (assuming your not a troll) your team is LESS likely to have troll because your on it. Which means you should eventually rise. Using trolls as a excuse to be in bronze 5 just tells everyone you deserve to be there.

I am sorry your in bronze 5 as from what I understand it is pretty bad. However if your there and can't get out you deserve to be there. Stop blaming your team and start looking at what you can do better.

as of the ranked prov i was specificly told that depending on how your teams ranked and enemys team ranks was decided on your rank. not skill or cooperation. but if someone else trolls your stuck in their league. cant carry a team nor help a team who wont let you.

Once again your enemy team is MORE likely to have trolls STATISICALLY. This is not opinion this is FACT. Some teams cannot be carried however due to the law of statistics if you play enough games the enemy team will have more trolls in the long run which means you should win more games and eventually climb. If you are unable to climb at all it is because you have reach the limit of your skill and need to invest time into your own mechanics/knowledge.

Trolls are a excuse for those who lack the skill to climb.

You might belong in B5 then. I had something like a 90% win rate on my way out of there, and every game I played had a troll or a leaver or both.

Ranked and unranked MMR are different. If you were really as good as a diamond or gold player, B5 games would be like playing bots to you and you'd blast out of there without trying.

bronze 5 is awful MMR shouldnt matter when you acctually play games and do great. it shoudl apply to that. and just cause i play that way doesnt mean the rest of my team is going to cooperate they never do and i just get feeders. it doesnt matter in general how well i play you cant carry a team every game and expect to win everything

No, but seriously, that's the problem with almost all players in bronze or silver. They think "I get stuck with trolls and afks" and have no regards to their actual skill level. They all assume their better than they really are. (I'm guilty of this as well.)

Same happened to me. I play Support and have a great KDA 2/6/22 as Leona and was silver 5 and I got bronze 5. Fuck that noise. I just went and bought Heroes of the storm. Fuck you riot.

KDA has nothing to do with rank.

Placements are a nightmare and screws up a lot of people. Its one of the most flawed systems i've seen. Even Diamond and Challenger players hates this.

As someone who went from Bronze 4 to Gold 3 i'll give you some advice.

Do not rely on your teammates. Pick champions that can carry and snowball the game by themselves. I used Leona to get me out of Bronze, and all ad J4 top to get me out of silver. Snowball type champions are your best friends.

Bronze people do not know how to deal with Leona, both in team fights and in lane. Enemy adc carelessly walking into her E range and essentially force feeding your adc. You can carry bronze and silver games as Leona.

I wouldnt be saying this if I didnt experience this.

there are champions with mobility and tankiness that don't have all their damage locked up in having help from allies. i disagree that you need to play snowball "i'll win this game myself or die trying" champions as opposed to picking champions that help your allies succeed, and the fact that you think leona is part of that first group and not the second makes me think that you don't really know what you're talking about.

yea i know that feeling. i main shyvana jungle and leona support and ive learned how to snowball with shyvana in a way people dont understand. i dont rely on my teammates but im there to help them when i can. and yea placement is litteral shit. my mmr was at 25 when it should be in the 700s for bronze 5 yet i was the one carrying my games. SO placement is just fucked up

lol it works. dragon form doesnt let you walk thru minions only ulting thru them works. faster attack speed and higher crit helps when chasing and snagging in the high crits. SO it does help people just dont understand it

It is a worthless item on Shyvana. Bork is always a better item. Shyvana should be built as a bruiser. I don't even like Hydra but it at least is a correct item. The phantom dancer without a IE is worthless on her in every sense of the word. And if your going to build a Pure damage Shyvana I prefer Hydra Bork Blackclever last whisper. If I saw a shyvana build a Pd in a game I would jump for joy if they are on the enemy team as it tells me it is almost a free win. Hell even a Zephyr is prolly a better item on Shyvana. I personally prefer wits end as it give on hit and magic shred. and if you check shyvanas damage at the end of the game I would bet about 1/2 your damage is magic.

Bork is a better item as it will proc on your q gives you additional lifesteal and percentage damage and att speed which is worth a hell of a lot more then a Phantom dancer. While movement speed is nice once again a Zephyr is better. Also but 3 points into utility for the MS. Shyvana is a lategame bruiser not a glass cannon. Health is really good on her because of the free resists in her passive.

Just by the fact you defended the build tells me you deserve bronze five.

lol nearly every game i play using a PH i win. so sorry i dont play the way all of you "perfer" to play. i can maintain drag red and blue and gank properl;y with it and easily secure a kill. so if you wana talk down to me. your the one who deserves bronze just for being unsportman like is kinda pathetic.

Just because you won a few game with it doesn't make it efficient. I have won games as a full crit Leona when I troll. Doesn't make it good smart or efficient. You deserve bronze.... If you won't take advice you will forever be bronze.

To be perfectly blunt, if you've been consistently placed in Bronze, then that's where your current skill level is. However, that doesn't mean you can't improve. I firmly believe anyone can reach a minimum of Silver, perhaps Gold, as long as they put in enough effort and actually try to learn from mistakes.
