Tokens factoring towards the actual per game stats of League matches.

Mhhhello people!

So this is my idea:

You should not, like you currently are, use the stats of a game (linked to the champ) and compare it to other players stats throughout time itself (pros/noobs stats (and of course all in between)). Instead tokens should be viewed as a reward for the game you played and that game only, if you did exceptionally well contra the other players on yours and the enemy team then you should be rewarded for the good game you played. So let's say you have a really good game and want the level 7 token reward for the champ you're playing: then you only have to performe exceptionally that one game instead of, as currently, play exceptionally above the average. The point in this is that a lot of champs are hard to get level 7 tokens in mostly because if they're hard to play, which leads to most "noobs" or low-ranked players won't play them but the pros will, which completely messes up the scale you intended on.

If you instead use the method described above you will only have to worry game-wise instead of long-term. This puts a better focus and a better aspect on the whole griefing and giving up point of a game as well. --> If you, as well, give more rewards for the champ (maybe a new thing to add (I have a couple ideas myself) like after level 7) then maybe, hopefully, people will use their purified strength to try every single game since there's a purpose not only for the win but also for the champion you love and fight with; which whom you try to show your pride with.

(A nice cover to the whole "making it hard to earn it, so it feels good when you earn it" thing can be countered to adding more tokens to actually get the level)

I hope you'll concider this concept and hopefully apply it soon in the future. Any questions, etc. are totally welcome!

Kind Regards, A summoner with ideas... [sg-lux]

You are not compared to pros. You are compared to other people playing that champ in YOUR ELO /Rank. As it should be

Not according to Riot employees I've asked. =)

So, you think that the Pros/Challengers face the same opposition as you do in their games.

That is so cute.

You think it's of the same difficulty to go 20/2/10 in Gold and in Masters/Challenger?

Plus, you can get your Tokens in normal games, where none will be tryharding other than you. So it's tons easier to get the token.

In any case, I don't see why Riot should change the grading system. It's easy as fuck to get an S and even an S+ as it is, if your aim is the mark.

Edit: If anything, I think they should make it so only 1 person can get an S in each team, so that a team stomp won't end up with S for everyone (like it happens now) I think S should only be for the best person in the team.

Tbh, if I am having an awesome game on my champion and then get denied my S grade because 2-3 other people on my team also did very well, this would feel even more BS.

It makes sense the way it is. These tokens are there to show that you have mastered the champion to some degree. Which doesn't mean that you overpowered your enemy in that game specifically, but that you did better than all the other people playing the same champion on your skill level.

The system works fine as it is.

But it doesn't work fine. It is actually measured by pros, a.k.a higher elo. This means you can be low elo and still be good and still won't get the reward. Confirmed today the last time by a hextechn. btw. Think of a compromise with them both maybe..?

I highly doubt that you are measured on pros.

I am far from being a pro player myself and I have mastery 7 on 39 different champions. Among them "pro play" champions like Camille Kalista Jayce Corki TahmKench Sejuani

Getting the required tokens is actually not that hard if you know what you have to achieve to get them.

And why would it be worse to get worse grade because your teammates did better? Imo it doesn't matter which is which although my idea favours the low elo players as well.. And no it doesn't show you have mastered the champion to "some degree" since I've seen level 5/6 people make far better plays and have generally better stats than most pros currently get - still won't matter. You can master champs and still not get tokens.
