YumaS2Astral1 votesIf you are using ADC Kog'Maw, Last Whisper is still non-negotiable. Just like any other ADC, you need it to deal significant damage during late game, even to squishies, due to them gaining armor per level.
Even though most of Kog'Maw's damage is magic due to its abilities, you want to use Last Whisper for your auto-attacks. This makes life very difficult for enemy tanks since they can't itemize against Kog'Maw's damage. Unless they have a good assassin that can dive Kog'Maw and kill him, enemies will probably lose the game.
