Client Crash in Champ Select

I have had a client crash in the last 4 out of 5 Promotional Series I've been in. The ONLY time I get client crashes is when I'm in my Promo's, no lie. I've tried to fix my client, update drivers, etc. I just don't understand why there isn't a feature that allows you to reconnect to the lobby? I wasn't team captain and it wasn't going to be my turn to select any time soon. It's very frustrating losing these series due to champion select crashes, when I should be able to reconnect given the time hasn't expired.

I understand the automatic loss penalty to prevent people from stacking the deck in their favor, but this is REALLY frustrating. I'm now attempting my 6th Promotion to Gold 1. This was after already rank decaying from Platinum earlier in the season.
