AD Fizz, really?

I just played a game against an AD Fizz. At first, I thought , "AD Fizz, what a troll. Easy game, right?"

Wrong. He completely destroyed not only his lane but carried the game. I was just wondering, and would love to hear others thoughts, why a champion exists who can do so much AP damage with a Trinity Force as his only AP item. Not to mention how much AD damage he did. Even with just one item giving some AP he did extremely high amounts of damage with his abilities.

Is it just me or is anyone else concerned about this champion. It seems to me that no matter what way it's looked at Fizz is not healthy or balanced. Like I said, I would love to hear what other people think about this. If anyone has an explanation, it would be very nice to hear.

He gets a pretty good chunk of magic damage from his W active.

First off, AD Fizz has been popular for almost a week now... so a little late to the party if you ask me. However it's not very surprising. Considering his w does % max hp per hit now, packed with a botrk and Trinity you should start to see the fish burn a hole in your health. Bottled with his Q proccing on hit abilities that's some major damage. Trinity proc+Blade passive+W+Q is a large chunk. Anyways Ad Fizz is not op. He's fairly balanced, at the moment he just has the surprise advantage.

No, it does missing health like it always did, except it now has a garbage ratio for the flat damage and applies the full value instantly instead of as a DoT.

Not even a little bit.

I'd rather have an Urgot on my team. Fizz hits so soft now that it's laughable. If you got stomped by a fed champion, of course they're going to seem strong.

I imagine that his ult change (+20% damage amplification) has something to do with it as well. Now all of those AD items become that much more effective for the duration. Fizz has always been able to proc on-hit effects, which sort of by default makes him a possible AD pick (if not necessarily viable at all times) but his abilities benefited more from AP. But since they hit the base damages and shifted his damage to the ult combo, it doesn't really matter where the damage comes from.

Exactly, and you can actually use Playful/Trickster as a defensive mechanism rather than be a worse Talon when assassinating.

And AD Fizz is also better than AP Fizz while his ult is down.

If AP Fizz didn't get nerfed so hard, I wouldn't be playing AD Fizz...

AD fizz isn't troll because AP fizz got gutted in 5.2

Why are you concerned about an assassin doing good damage? Isn't that what he is supposed to do? Plus if he snowballed off you it really does make sense.

His W is percent health based. What did you see in his recap? Did he have any other meaningful sources of magic damage (aside from ulti ofc)? His active W does 8% of your missing health which really adds up.
