Lag After The Recent Update

Ever since this update has been released... I've been noticing my frame rate drop at certain times in the game. Before this update I could skype and play Lol at 60 fps. Now I can't skype and even when I don't I have struggles to engage in combat without lagging. I love this update and the things they have added but this unexplained lag is making this a awful update. Is there anything Riot could do or like a program or something to stop this lag.
