Sett's W Haymaker as a Thinner - True Damage only - Line Shot.

Making Setts W a thinner line Shot instead of his current AOE, meaning only the True Damage and getting the shield. Does he need an almost guaranteed large AOE with his added Attack Damage area whilst having his shield to be effective and strong?

This has multiple advantages:

His W is more readable, while at the same time not needing a giant visual indicator helper, that distracts from his actual animation ( hard design question mark right now) His counterplay is easier to understand. That running away and trying to juke him is slightly more fair. Specifically to inexperienced players. His W feels slightly more satisfying when it is hit and then justifies its output, while justifying failure to execute it. His W can be longer, faster, louder. His Kit can be more flexibly adjusted. His Kit remains simple to understand.

It takes some of the overload from is W away (Shield, Aoe, True Damage) and allows his damage to be focused on its true damage ability and Grit.

Disadvantages: He is slightly harder to play. His clear decreases a little. He may not be S Tier in multiple roles anymore.

i always thought should work the other way around ...

Kinda like camilles W

CLoser area should be true damage then the further away is just physical

as a juggernaut their thing is you get close and you get dealt lots of damage ...

they should just reduce the damage on the ability a little bit.

haymaker has a lot of counterplay as ability. you take damage at the sides but armor helps a lot with that.

setts whole abilities are fine design wise. he is not overloaded like akali. they are all pretty simply. his numbers are just a little bit too high that is all imo.
