Gifting "Emotes"

Hey, in a generous spirit, I wanted to buy an "emote" as a gift for a friend. Big surprise: you can't gift "emotes". Considering that their primary function is to generate revenue for the company, this seems to be grievous oversight. So obvious, that I couldn't possibly be the first to point it out...
