I think Olaf (the champion) should be made an energy or health based champion because he doesn't use magic, he throws axes, and it would fit his kit a lot more. He should use his health because of some sort of berzerker rage. please take these comments in and make him an energy based or health based champion or I will terrorize bronze 5.

Health makes sense since his kit is already pseudo hp costing.
Lots of champs use mana that don't use magic.
i think this is a very rational idea, considering olaf is not that strong at this point in time

And all of these are mana-base champions, why make Olaf an exception? And second, why energy? He is not a freaking ninja. And lastly, he is pretty rare to be OOM since only his Q & W costs mana.
Olaf was made when Riot cared about resource management.

If he was energy, he should be able to use spells when he's out of energy at the cost of health. This would make the most sense since he'd: -Have more control over his passive. -Still be gated through costs -Be more thematically relevant -Have more clear peaks and lows for damage.
Darius doesn't use magic. Nor does Draven. Or Master Yi. Or Fiora. But they all use mana.
If you think about it. It fits into his concept. He's a berserker. He lusts battle and always wants to fight. He can fight whenever. Anytime and everytime. Util he's out of mana. Well woops the relentless berserker ain't relentless no more. what a shame. I think energy based is better.
I'm main olaf top now a days and i would have to say i would love it, But honestly ill just stay top lane forever with just W alone.
Why i say this! I am able to bully out or kill almost all top laners alone with most of my HP still intact. This wouldn't be fair for the other guy.
Lol i had forgotten about this champion. Although, I don't really play Olaf I have to say Mana doesn't suit him at all. However, if it were to change his W would have to change as well since it would be a spammable free sustain ability with no cost. Other than that I like the idea.
Main reason for not having olaf be an energy based champion: His axes are poke and in a winning lane (which will happen in melee matchup) having access to poke on short cooldown which is only gated by cd is toxic. If he is health based it would be a bit better but the same argument still applies.
