Is there any deeper meaning to this, or is it just that you introduced blue essence, but no one gives a damn about it, so you just force us to care. Where is the connection between blue essence and champion skill? Like seriously? Thank god the game is balanced regarding champions and you have nothing to care about, except this bull ... poop.
Blue essence is derived from breaking down champion shards. Mastery has to do with champions. Makes perfect sense to all of us who aren't entitled.
You realize you need to get S-, S, or S+ games with the champ to get to level 6, and S or S+ to get to level 7? That is highly dependent on skill.
The blue essence requirement is just to give it some use for people with all the champions, and soon you will be able to get blue essence via IP (by purchasing a champ shard then breaking it down).
