How good is Kassadin now?

I haven't bought Kassadin in the past due to his massive ban rate. But now, Malhazar is perma-banned instead, leaving Kassadin with a pathetic ban rate. I like Kassadin's abilities and his design, but is he strong enough now? I think he may be, as he is anti-mage, and we're entering a mage-meta.

LoL OMG did you actually say mage meta.

That is hilarious. Mages were nerfed in the last update.

It is a tanky dps meta and always has been. Been playing since beta and it has always been like that.

Thanks for the good laugh level 20.

I'm not sure why you feel the need to be so rude to someone asking a simple question.

That aside Kassadin isn't bad if you want to pick him up. He does fairly well against some of the more popular mage champs currently like brand/zyra. Tank Kassadin top with a iceborn gauntlet, sunfire, and abyssal scepter is also a thing that can work quite well (a little less effective than Ekko, but effective nonetheless)

What is rude about the fact long time players have been complaining that the game is tank ridiculous and a newbie comes in spouting how they feel it is a mage meta when they were just nerfed. The simple fact is that tank items are way overpowered.

I had justification and being with the game before release means... yeah I know my stuff.

I've been with the game when it was in beta as well - I was not saying that anything you stated was wrong. What I was stating is that the way you phrased it was unnecessarily condescending which is really rude especially to a player just seeking advice from more veteran players like yourself.

Maybe that wasn't your intention but that is the way it came off.

The reductions to AP ratios coincided with nerfs to the most common MR items. Total damage should even out. In addition, many mages were given flat-out buffs (aside from a couple of regrettable cases). See: Malzahar being pick or ban, Brand doing massive AOE damage, Vel'koz now having AP scaling on his passive, Swain's Q being easier to use, etc.

hes terrible. does no damage until you get lichbane and somehow survive the first 11 levels or so.
