Being banned from joing ranked solo/duo games foe 30mins

I understand banning peeps from joining ranked games if they go afk or leave in the middle of a game. But if you're in champion selection and you dont like what the other "PUGS" have picked you should be givien the option to leave and not be penalized. Because now you're forcing me and telling me I have to choose something and deal with their horrible champion slections and now most likely lose a ranked matched and lose a whole lot of LP. Please this setting has to be changed. Again I understand putting long timers on peeps who leave actual games, but not if you leave because you didnt choose a champion because you didn't like the make up of the pugs. It's ranked for a reason, you should least give us pugs a chance to choose what champions we'd rather play with. Thank you.

If there were no penalties on dodges, people would simply wait until their team had obviously the better team comp to play.

This is not hypothetical. Way back in the day, there was a time when we had only a time penalty for dodging. The result? High elo games simply stopped happening. There were days where I'd pick champions in five lobbies before playing a single game. And of course people don't want to be the one to take the bullet, so every dodge happened at the last possible second. You'd spend about half your time picking champions pointlessly.

I get that dodging trolls is a thing people want, but trust me, the cure is worse than the disease.

ok so maybe set a limit.. like 3 straight dodge then gives you a wait time.. there's always going to be pros and cons. and in my opinion waiting for a game is better then being forces to play with bad champ comp.. and lose LP. Just saying
