Hi, can you please tell me what is wrong with ranked placement system? I dont know how did i got placed to b5 after winning 7 games. For examle my friend on another account won only 3 and he got to silver 3. Another example: I was playing for my first time ranked at season 3 i won 2 out of 10 it got me into s3. Did something like this happened to you? Thanks for answers. AdoSKala

Placements usually leave you several divisions below where you ended the previous season (with exceptions in lower rankings).
Bronze 5 is the only tier below Bronze 4.

EndlessSorcerer1 votesDivision 5 of any tier is rather difficult to fall out of.
As such, you may have had significantly lower MMR than your ranking would imply.
If you were Silver 5 but your MMR was closer to (for example) Bronze 2, you would be playing with/against Bronze 2 players and your placement would be adjusted accordingly.

Dont misslead people with your nonsense.your statistics has nothing to do with your rank.Its all about your last season mmr.
bloodybadger11 votesbut im pretty sure stats and behaviors go into the mmr algorirthm, if it was only wins and losses then we wouldnt see such wild inconsistencies, riot probably has enough statistical data to place you without using wins and losses at all; im fairly confident that wins and losses are not the only factors in mmr

Thats your answer.your mmr from last season was bad.my friend last season was b4 with like 38% win ratio.This season he won 8/10 placements and the system put him in B5.Cause his mmr was fucked up ,even tho it was a hard reset but still.

TheEvilQueen1351 votesyou almost always get placed lower than where you ended last season (haven't seen any exceptions but there might be...) I mean i was silver 3 last season and i got placed b5 this season after winning the majority of games
